One of my favorite parts of my job, is the trips we take into the city during the holiday season. Now that we are slowing with a work load temporarily, we finally took our yearly sojourn into the great city of New York....nothing like getting one in the mood for the holidays, seeing the lights, the hustle and bustle, and of course the legendary designs of the windows. I can appreciate them, knowing how much work goes into them. It's always nice to see what the other luxury retailers are designing. I know some of you have been biting at the bit for them so between now and Christmas I'll share some of my favorites. To start off..... could there be any other place to find distraction in blue and glittering shine, other then Tiffanys & Co?
The legendary Tiffany & Co. unveiled their 2015 holiday windows, bedazzled and dripping with Tiffany’s sparkling baubles and trinkets. This year the jeweler invites passersby to enter a glittering wonderland of their signature Tiffany blue and winter white. Each window reveals an enchanting scene where fairy tales come to life in winter gardens, a palace in the mountains, bejeweled fir trees, a grand staircase strung with covetable garland and special blue boxes wrapped up in a bow waiting by the fireside. There is no shortage on decadence, as white Nymphenburg porcelain appears throughout taking the form of a valiant stag, cherubs, urns and custom-designed wolves.
And yes.....the inside is just as elegant as the windows.
High balls anyone???
Swank-EEEEE! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteVery purtiful! I got my parents a silver key chain
ReplyDeletefrom Tiffanys for their 25th. The blue box was especially prized! :-)
Ooh! That's just the carpet I want for Castlette DeVice's stairs.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, those are the stairs I want, too.
And while I'm wishing, I'd like a pony, please.
Just with a wave of that wand and you will receive won't you?
DeleteOnly if I find someone rich enough to wave it at!
DeleteI call Tiffany's the dream factory.....my dreams are all made there. There windows are always so elegant considering how small the windows are.

ReplyDelete*sits back to enjoy the show*
ReplyDeleteWilliam and I will be in the city this weekend to take a walk about and look at the windows. I love Tiffany's and William will be lucky if nothing catches my eye.
ReplyDeleteBeing in this field, your job must be both fun and interesting. All the times I've been to NYC, never been at Christmas.
ReplyDeleteNothing says eleganza like a Tiffany blue stair runner.
ReplyDelete...word to the wise dahlink... I've tried some other men, the kind with zeros less than ten, and every time I grab the ring it's always brass....
