Johnny Weir's Poker Face

Now mind ya, I didn't watch a stitch of the Olympics. Alright, yesterday I said I don't watch award shows either, your thinking what the hell does the Mistress watch. I'm not a huge tv person. But I'm surprised I didn't watch any figure skating. I will usually watch some of that. You doesn't like to see those boys skate with such tight pants on? And I think Johnny Weir is very entertaining on the ice. I came across this clip of him performing to Poker Face. His movements are so in-sync with the music, it just has me mesmerized. I keep watching it over and over. So much talent.

  1. I love it when skaters do performances to comtemporary, current songs. I think it brings in a new generation of fans.

Poker Face! What a great song! :)

  2. It's strange how homophobic the figure skating people seem whenever Johnny pops up anywhere. I think he's DE-LIGHTFUL!

  4. I think we are going to be seeing alot of him to come yet. He is very talented and I could watch him for a long time too. I still confused. Is he gay or not? Great movements to this, your right.

  5. Johnny Weir was screwed at the Olympics and not in a good way. I think he's wasting his time with competitions; if that performance in Japan is any indication, he has a long career in entertainment ahead of him. Side note: Why does Poker Face make me think of Madonna? Or some 80's song?

  7. Fabulous!
There were rumors that he was "awarded" sixth place in Vancouver bacuse only the Top Five skate in the exhibition show after the competition.
Too bad, because he was gonna do this routine and he would have shown every one that he should have medaled.

    Johnny was robbed!

  9. I only just started watching figure skating and enjoy seeing it. But I think Johnny does add a little something extra to his chorography.

  10. Your right about this clip! Bob- I too think this would have been neat to see, but I think I heard that they can only do classic pieces for the Olympics. Is that correct? I think they need to get with the times for the music selection if it is.

  13. Well, Maddie, I heard an interview where Johnny is thinking about retiring skating and going into fashion design so maybe you and he will meet up someday and you can do one of his displays. I love to watch him skate but he didn't do well in the Olympics. He is so entertaining. He wants to have a "fall-back" career; not be some old man on ice skates someday. (like Scott Hamilton) LOL
