MOOD BOARD

Monday Again! It should be a short week, what with me having the sense to take Good Friday and Monday off for Easter. I have the Lad coming for Easter dinner, so it will be some fun filled days and nights mind you!!!  This week...work, color some eggs, and the farmer's market. The highlight this weekend was time to myself, The highlights being gardening, cooking, and drag. Yes, I watched DragRace Friday night and absolutely loved that Suzie Toot swept the floor with all the queens at the reunion, and made them all eat it, especially horse mouthed Kori King, as she proved she's not a one trick vintage pony! To me Suzie is the ultimate drag queen and one that is well versed in old and new school and knows the golden rule of not putting all your eggs in one basket for a reveal...something more then 50% of queens will never learn. Never do all your reveals and moves in one number. Hell, even Sasha Colby on her season in the finale came out in a jaw dropping huge overcoat and only had it on for a minute. Well, there goes the built up. No Suzie was something and proves she can do anything even if not in her wheelhouse. Yet, her brand still came through. Had that been her final lip-synch against Sam Star, I can guarantee you Sam would not have been in the top four. She knows she's in top four by the skin of her teeth. I still think Jewels and Sam might as well pack their bags awhile. And I got some sleep!!! There might have also been a gathering of guys for cocktails later Friday night.

Happy Monday All and watch those springs!

  2. Two things: I liked Kori King at the beginning but then realized all her looks were the exact same looks with mild variations and a different color and so I was thrilled when Suzie tooted all over her!
Also, what is it about a man in a pink fur suit and rabbit hears that revs my engine?

Since Easter lands on Sunday....most just take Monday and another day off since they normally work on Sunday. At my place of employment..since Easter is a Sunday...they get two paid days off. I don't count since I never work weekends. I'm just using a personal day since I have guests.

Lovely mood board as always. Mae West-talk about being on-brand, all the time/The ever lovable and ofttimes confusing Shirley MacLaine, swaddled in pink/That dark-haired, jutting jaw bunny in the pink suit caused me to take another BP pill this morning/Somewhere in my unorganized paper clippings is an article for dying eggs using natural dye made from dried yellow onion skins. You put a leaf, herb or similar item on the egg and wrap it in a piece of pantyhose tied tightly and dropped in the liquid from the onion skins. When finished, the imprint of the leaf remains almost white against varying shades of raw umber and browns. Shined up with a little vegetable oil, beautiful! If I find it, I'll get it to you for next year. Happy Easter to the believers and the nonbelievers alike. For me, it's a day to remember Easter egg hunts as a child, searching for eggs in the cold spring air, finding them hidden in the only tall grass in the yard where the neighborhood stray dogs had done their duty that winter. Ah, memories!

    1. I love onion dyed eggs but they are a pain and take patience to make...but they are so pretty when done. Easter for me is much like yourself....Easters past....family dinner...and chocolate filled basket I got as a kid. Heck, my mother still gets me a chocolate bunny every year.

  10. Having to sign in "I understand", I was expecting some hard-core porn, but all I got was eggs, bunnies, one ass. What gives? LOL. I whole heartedly agree about Suzie's win, but thought some of those other lip syncs were judged erroneously. Seemed the fix was in for Suzie and Kori to lip sync last. Correction: one ass, one pee pee.

    2. Darling - some malicious Jesuit, Penitent or MAGA-lover (or other type of vengeful bastard) has evidently flagged you to Blogger/Google, so now you're fair game for the censorship treatment!

Mr Peenee, Mistress MJ, Ms First Nations and many others (including me) have, or have had, "red flags" before now. It's a bit of a bind, but at least none of us has been barred. Jx

  11. Well, you put me in the mood...
For spring! Even though that thing sprung on me (honey, I'd need training to ride that) I love the fab easter eggs and that pink Corvette!
I am looking forward to seeing what Suzie did to those Queens. Oh, joy!

    XOXO

    1. Our little toot was holding out, pulled the stops out and gagged every one of those bitches, after cleaning the floor with 3 of them. I see big things in her future. She will be the Sasha or Jinkx of the season!!!!

  12. More bouncing bunnies, lovely eggs and a pink Corvette -- YAY!

And I got to see Suzie Toot's performance on Friday night too, thanks to my cable company having OUTtv in free preview. I really enjoyed her Rosie the Riveter look, especially when the red kerchief came off to reveal her beautiful long auburn tresses! I'm glad Suzie won the $50K too. The basketball boobies were a funny schtick, but Kori King's baring his rubber breasts in Suzie's face was vulgar, IMHO. He just proved himself a huge boor in heels.

    1. I did think Lucky's basketball boobies were funny, but she didn't, alas, know what else to do without them, which is not good.

I feel for that bunny with Pinky - it won't be long before it's turned into her muff!
