We can't let Pride Month close without one big climax dance party!!!!!! After all, for most of us at one time or currently, music is our church henny! So... welcome all to the Casa du Borghese's Pride Climax! Hope you're ready to dance your ass off, vogue, cut a runway, sweat, or at the very least tap a foot... to some of my favorite dance floor ass shakers. I've had some good times dancing with my fellow brothers and sisters to these. Some real feel-good music children. The post is dedicated to one of the LGBTQ'S greatest allies and good friend...Anne Marie Gunther, aka Warrior Queen!!!!
Happy Gay Pride!!!!
There now...are we drenched?
Oh my god, that's a lot of music. I didn't have time for it all just now, so I climaxed early. I hope you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteOh I see, your one of those!!!! Eat more cauliflower.
DeleteOh, it's been soooooo long since we had a Saturday Dance Party!!!
ReplyDeleteAM is msiling down on us all today, and dnacing!π―♂️π―♂️π―♂️ π³ππ³ππ³π
I'm surprised none of us ran with a dance party after her departure.
DeleteYes...my toes are tapping. This is a dance party! Happy Pride to you and your readers Mistress.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pride to you too Parker!
DeleteYASSSSSSS HENNY!!!!!! You gots some old school in here, some dance palace classics girls Gay church at it's finest. Let our freak flags fly!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWalk that runaway girl!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteWonderful tribute to Pride AND Anne Marie! No one loved Pride Month more than her -- now SHE was a true ally!
ReplyDeleteThat she was and in every sense of the word.
DeleteBeing 48 years old I still can't keep my feet on the ground listening to this amazing tracks!!
ReplyDeleteA lot of memories from back when HOUSE was REALLY HOUSE.....!! And Yoko Ono!!!!!
THESE songs give me life and breath. You know I just adore a good club.
DeleteAt 37 years young, I remember hearing many of these when I was a Lad, loved it 20 years ago and still brilliant now! Hands in the air! Excellent mix and old and new...and a nice pinch of Disco!!!! That Gaynor and Summer track was excellent.
ReplyDeleteI loved that clip when I came upon it. Yes, it's amazing how well these stand up. Now let's twirl so more.
DeleteOMG!!!!! I working my way through this excellent list of classics!!!!! Some even new to me. You made my day with this. This Anne Marie sounds like she must have really been something special.
ReplyDeleteYou would have adored her!
DeleteYou need a guest spot at the Abbey!!!! This is far better then the "house" music now. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteI agree! We had the best club music, hands down. The Abbey? Are you putting me up?
DeleteStill believe after all these years this songs will never die. Keep the faith everybody!!! You hear me!!! Always believe!! Now back to dancing!!! Here's to Anne Marie!!!! Love the Alicia Bridges entry too.
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing how good they still sound and hold up!!! And clubs are playing them again, and not lousy redo's.
DeletePadam! Padam! Such a great song.
ReplyDeleteOne of her best in recent years I think...so damn catchy! And it's spreading like wildfire.
DeleteIf Yoko had done that song and video with John, Paul, George, and Ringo, maybe they would have stayed together.
ReplyDeleteI swear I spotted Lady Bunny in that RuPaul video.
Indeed it was! Bunny from the early 90's, along with Mona Foot, Mistress Formica and a very young Hedda Lettuce, or would she have been a baby romaine then?
DeleteLook like a great time,
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
Girl, the kids at the Monster would love this selection. They'd be swirling and twirling.
ReplyDeleteYou buying bitch?!?
DeleteSome of these are my favorite songs for sure. Wish I was old enough to party in the 90’s to get into clubs. And it sure beats the crap dance music now.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happen the nights I don't remember anything!?! LOL!!!!
DeleteMistress....you got me in ecstasy right now!!!! This is simply amazing!!!!!! Many of these songs got my ass out to the floor to dance my ass off. The ultimate club songs. I can imagine being in a club with the lights and lasers and just dancing until you drop, with my gay boys. I also loved the Kylie and Yoko Ono song too. I miss Anne Marie's dance parties on Saturdays..
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! You had us both dancing!!! I was one of the lesbians that enjoy going out and dancing. Yea...I hear ya on these. Still gives me chills. Feeling those memories. The one surpise was the Yoko Ono song. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteHard to find anything else that delivered a bigger grin today then this post!!!!! You outdid yourself. Each song got better and better with the next. I always loved that Robin S song too, even more so then her Show Me Love song. ππ
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it Serjio!!!!
DeleteExcellent playlist!!!!! I do admit to you getting me up and dancing too! Such goods here...Corona, Faithless still gives me chills, Love Inc, Livin' Joy. Josyln Enrique, Real McCoy, and that Faith Evans song Mesmerized!?!?! How can you not get into a happy mood hearing that song? That is amazingly upbeat. Still one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteLove this!!!! Why do you not DJ? House of Love is it for me. By far, RuPauls best music and album.
ReplyDeleteThe hairs are still standing up on the back of my neck when I hear these.....AWESOME TUNES!! Reminds me of frikking great times.... Great close to Pride month
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you the feeling and euphoria dance and house music gives me.
DeleteThe only song I knew in your list was "I love the night life". It could be the pond or it could be age that makes the difference.
ReplyDeleteI think many of these were across the pond...I'm sure dear Jon knows many of these treats.
DeleteSorry to be late to the game, but I think it's understandable, given the madness of our own Pride weekend - the full-on day on Saturday, having guests to parlay with on Sunday, and then returning to work on Monday morning.
DeleteI am indeed familiar with most of these songs (bien sΓ»r!) - with the exception of the Love Inc one, Jocelyn Rodriguez and Fetish - but that faboo Yoko Ono number was a revelation! I much prefer the original Voodoo Ray to that Lisa May version, tbh, and I an not a Mabel fan either (sorry, Neneh!). I am going to have to set aside some time for that Gloria vs Donna thing!
I can smell the poppers as we speak, sweetie. Clink, clink! Jx
PS Video #7 seems to have gone already.
I wondered if Helen's poppers would distract you?
DeleteI knew you'd know many, and I could have climax myself over the Yoko find!!!!! I too am behind the 8 ball what with another four-day weekend. I feel some days I'll never catch up, and now the weekend is upon us again. I too saw video seven gone, must have happened today... it was Alicia Bridges, I Love The Nightlife...something we both know all too well.
I got to go where the people dance
DeleteI want some ac-SHON
I want to live!
Don't know it at all...π Jx
PS I love this montage, in which the song is well-featured.
Good times.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a great way to celebrate the end of Pride Month and honor AM at the same time!
ReplyDeleteohhhh what a list, if this was a dance floor, i'd be soaking wet with sweat.
ReplyDeleteCLEAN UP...AISLE 10!!!!!!
DeleteExcellent list Mistress! All hot classics, but K-Klass, Show Me Love and the Lisa May's The Curse of Voodoo Ray sent me over the edge, and then to end with the best ever version of A Deeper Love?!?! You'd certainly know how to work a crowd of homo's up.
ReplyDeleteSome before my time girl, but the 90's had hands down the best house music. I get depressed I missed this scene entirely.
ReplyDeleteStill listening to this, awesome 90's mix, really brings me back! The also love the kylie and the Yoko ono one too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pride Party!!!!!! I thought of Anne Marie right away. I music the Saturday parties. I may be old pushing 79, but I love this music...even though my kids and neighbors think I'm nuts. I listened to every song, knew some but it got me dancing while packing the house up Mistress. Of course the disco songs I knew from out days in NYC. I bookmarked this page so I can listen again when I need it. Brava Mistress.
ReplyDeleteI always said you were a hip and trendy individual!!!!! With good taste I may add.
DeleteAlways fun
ReplyDeleteI hope the celebration remained a happy one for all!
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, all summer, starting in June, is LGBT Pride season.
ReplyDeleteAll year!!!! Yes!
Deletealso because we're less clothered!
DeleteLet's find a bed, I have some nectar for you!!!
DeleteI sort of had pride month through you and your posts. Thank you doing all of this.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed it Spo, Thank You!
