OK, I think the Mistress is now ready to move forward and welcome spring...Im finally ready, and after a walk about this weekend in the nice weather, and these crocus blooming in the garden came to fruition...hibernation is a thing of the past. Some shopping and a trip to the farmers market were in order...and some window cleaning. The Usual Suspects were in and out all weekend...with the addition of a huge flock of iridescent black birds, which are actually very pretty up close.
Look at the one in the middle, puffing up. When they deflate they sing!
A titmouse eating a peanut.
Junco. I suspect they will be leaving soon.
Bonnie and Clyde.
If you look close, you'll see the one is sleeping.
The Nuthatch
The spring Robins have arrived.
They are the first birds you can hear in the spring with there morning song.
A Red-Bellied Woodpecker.
Out by the front door, in a tree, is the first Robin's nest of the season.
Boy, those eggs are blue.
And for the cat lovers....yesterday I went to visit my good friend who invited me for lunch...he who has the four sphynx cats. Again, I know they may look like they will claw your eyes out, but of all the cats I have encountered, this variety is the sweetest and most affectionate I have met. And they feel like velvet.
I took a quick video of two of them playing with each other. I love the flip!
And , well, there is no pig...
except for the one who ate this dainty breakfast today.
Then took a nap.
Well, it is after all the year of the pig.
