MOOD BOARD


Yes...who doesn't love cake?!?! I'm in a cake mood today. What's your favorite cake? Yours truly loves cakes of all sizes, shapes and flavors. Love is like a good cake. You never know when it's coming, but you'd better eat it when it does.

Have you tried cake decorating?!?!?!

Last night I even made for the first time my own strawberry shortcake. Homemade biscuits and whipped cream. DELISH!!! I have to try this out for the lumbersexual once back to the Casa.

    That is one mighty fine assortment of cakes. I’ll have to go through them slowly and enjoy a piece of each one. I do like a good chocolate cackle, but I think I’m a little partial to carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. 😋

    The first cake looks like the white chocolate-peppermint cake I've made for my Victorian Christmas teas in the past, though I likes me a good lemon-poppyseed or carrot cake too! If any part of my previous statement is sexual code for anything, I apologize for my ignorance, LOL!

    My favourite cake is my friend Pat the Opera's courgette cake - wunderbar! And thinking of cakes - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-58011992 - look at the second pic down - it could serve as a bridal bouquet and the festive cake afterwards.
    Your strawberry shortcake looks lush - what you need to go with it is clotted cream, the most decadent of all creams.

    My favorite is a Poppyseed with chocolate whipped cream. (A family recipe, btw) After that: Chocolate, baby, chocolate.

    PS - Your shortcake looks like the ones I make - as in REAL shortcake, not the sponge cake people pretend is shortcake. 😁
