LIVE! LIVE! Life is a banquet, and some sorry sons of bitches are starving!
This brings back great memories from an earlier time, when my kids were little. I remember hearing those all-to familiar computer tones before and after every news segment of the In-The-News presentations dating back to at least the early 1970's (if not earlier). Christopher Glenn was always the voice behind the scenes. Good times & good memories :)
I used to love these as a kid.
In 1980, I only watched CBS Saturday mornings. Just the sound of that clip brought back a flood of memories from back then.
Never saw this, different country, in fact Honey Comb comes in a red box here.
The part of my childhood Saturday morning entertainment that was mesmerizing and soporific for me. Listen to the signature sound effects of the In The News graphics; and the grandfatherly voice of the late Christopher Glenn, and you'll imagine how entranced I've felt at the time.
I remember these. I never paid too much attention to them. I was fifteen in 1971 and wasn't interested in the news (see what I did there?). In 1980, my boys were three and two. They weren't interested in the news, either.
Heh. Never watched them.
When we lived in Northern Canada we only got one channel when the pilot light was lit on the island where the repeater was...
I remember these little fillers in between the cartoons.
Wow. I do not remember one single bit of this! I wonder if Grumman ever had to shell out for those crap buses.
Go ahead darling, tell me something fabulous!
