I have really been enjoying these wonderful autumn Mondays.....
just a slight chill, which makes for good sleeping. Except the next morning, I just want to snuggle under the covers!!!! Over the weekend I saw a Raven. Funny how I never really enjoy them till this time of year. A shame really, they really are quiet beautiful. Many birds are seen as messengers between heaven and earth, and the raven- no exception. In addition to carrying messages back and forth from a higher plane, ravens also bring meaning from a darker place, within. If a raven guide has appeared in your life and spoken to you, turn your focus inward, it is time for a change. Though as people, we often fear change, the changes ravens bring are often meaningful and revelatory. Ravens are incredibly perceptive; meaning, that if you’ve fallen under the scrutiny of this bird, that which needs to be changed should be revealed. Ravens are also considered powerful teachers of the mysteries, or magic. If you’ve had a dream about a raven its meaning is likely that big changes are coming your way or it may symbolize an end to a phase or habit in your life. And of course there are also many stories of them being tricksters, and seekers of truth. So let's all honor this sleek bird this season!
Happy Monday !!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteVery interesting - I didn't know any of that. I wonder if the grackles here might be cousins of the raven? The grackles are noisy, messy, annoying birds, though.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely live this post, as my favorite birds are ravens and magpie!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you heard about the ravens at The Tower of London, Mistress? It is said that the monarchy will fall when they fly away. I think you would feel at home there. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy no, I have never heard of that.A neat little tidbit. But are you implying I'd make a nice old raven circling, or a new monarch????
