THE MILKMEN DELIVER

When was the last time you saw the likes of this??????????

I haven't seen milk delivery since I was a wee one staying at my grandmother's house. I always loved the glass bottles and the caps kept it fresher longer. Well, two weeks ago, I found a dairy near by the Casa that does indeed do delivery in the glass bottles no less, so I most certainly took advantage. Their a fresh rage dairy with a branch in Chambersburg...Trickling Springs Creamery. The location near me does delivery on Saturdays. I ordered one of each, and I must say it was delicious. I do tend to drink a lot of milk, so two bottles of white may be wise. This morning it accompanied my English Tea Biscuits I made yesterday.......

The little clay pot was a gift from a friend who recently visited Spain. It was filled with honey from a locale from one of her spots she was visiting while there. And It was like nectar from the Gods I say! I just love honey.

I was sitting enjoying the morning treats, while receiving the usual morning guest.....

I was awoken this morning by the cooing by some new guest.....

Yes , now you can add a mourning dove couple to the mix in addition to all the suspects already here. I love that they find a mate and stay together for life. They should be called Love Birds. They were just sitting there, cuddled, and what then looked liked kissing.

then they landed on the boudoir window sill when I was dressing....

Meanwhile back at the kitchen sill, Bouvier dropped in....

People at work think I'm nuts, or think it's the gin, when I tell them I have a pet squirrel named Bouvier. But most mornings when I leave, he comes a runnin' to take peanuts from my hand. My friend Preston was here recently and captured these two of Bouvier....

Every once in a while I see a squirrel laying in the street hit, and my heart stops.....but the next day Bouvier comes running for his treat. Sometimes he disappears for two or three days but always returns. I guess the talk I had with him to stay out of the street was probably a good thing. I should add, Bouvier is a girl though, as last year she got fat and had little ones. But the name stuck, so why change it. Tootles!

  1. cute critters (and I don't mean the houseboyz).

those tea biscuits look dee-lish; I would love to try them with honey and some herbal tea.

I remember my mom and grandmother both getting milk and bread home delivered. and since my grandmother lived in the city, she also had other home delivery items (produce, butter & eggs, knife sharpener, rag collector) stop by.

    1. Welcome Mike and thanks for stopping in!!!! I had no idea milk was being delivered again until recently. After researching some diaries, I think some are offering it again as a convenience.
