Well another year has come and gone in the decoration department here at the Casa, and yet again , as you can see, the lights were the most fun to untangle!!!!!! I swear you put them away neat, and they come out a mess. How does this happen????? Tonight I had some guest in for some coffee and Pizelle's, to hang out and talk, always fun to entertain this time of year. So I thought I would give a nice Yuletide tour of my little bungalow. As always I used all red lights on the tree again, perfect for my personality. At night it looks so calming, but of course the local police department always thinks the red glow from the windows is me advertising my goods!!!!! As you will see, I mostly use a lot of natural elements, balls, balls, and more balls, and lots of fresh pine sprigs. Let it never be said you never saw my balls!!!! I also went back and used my other tree, instead of the huge "Tim Burton " tree from last year. It was very avant- garde but what a mess to take down. My " Red Light District tree" as it is know to the boys and my friends is decked out with red lights, red balls of various shades and sizes, 32 birds, and other various balls I collected over the years.......
Some of the other various ornaments on the tree........
When guest are here I always make them find the little mouse on the tree, a Casa tradition......
Love the shot of the tree in the mirror......
One of my favorite decorations, my Christmas Pyramid! When drinking gin, I could watch it spin for hours till I pass out fall asleep. The little ornament hanging on the pine is from suitor 3, the Russian!!!!
Lets head to the kitchen shall we? Let's take a peak in the bar, you must be parched after looking at all the balls.........oh and look, another tree with more balls....
this years apothecary jars...... with balls.....
More pine in the Casa facilities......
In the boudoir I have another small tree, with touches of more fresh pine and more red balls about, and a single bubble light given to me by the Dame Courtney..... I said there would be a lot of balls!
The ceramic deer head is bedecked with balls......
And that completes our tour........
Coffee and a Pizzelle anyone?
Stunning... thanks for the tour.! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs always, your place looks amazing! But of all the things here the deer head with the balls is my favorite. How long does this take? I also must ask, was that an erect tree in your cords or are you just happy the holidays are here?
ReplyDeleteBetween the peacock feathers and being wrapped in red lights, I'm thinking he must be a kinky little thing.
Deleteand you should see what he does with that topper.
DeleteLove the tour of the red light district. Very beautifully done. I too like using a lot of balls about to decorate with, very festive looking.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I love the all red, never would have thought it would look so nice, very beautiful tree and trimmings, but what about your orbs? Did I miss them? LOVE THE DEER HEAD! very fun.
ReplyDeletethere wouldn't be room enough for the balls and his too in one post.
DeleteI will admit, it is very elegant and all red light districty looking!!!!! But if one more guy shows up wondering the going hourly rate, I'm just sending them up at no charge , I swear!
ReplyDeleteYour home is so beautifully decorated for the season -- thanks for the tour! And I love pizzelles -- so light and tasty!
ReplyDeleteWow,you have inspired me and gave me some great ideas. Course I could just come live with you! Your home looks so comfortable! I handle breakables very good
ReplyDeleteVery warm and cozy. Thanks for the tour. :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like what you did with the Casa. Thanks again for the tour.
ReplyDeleteso many balls, so little time!
ReplyDeletecawfee (philly pronunciation) and some little pepi's pizelles are a good way to complete a visit. but I'd rather have a G&T with MY pizelles! :)
for non-tangled lights, get a light wheel: http://www.target.com/p/santa-s-bag-install-and-store-light-storage-set-red/-/A-14266228?ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001&AFID=Google_PLA_df&LNM=|14266228&CPNG=Unassigned&kpid=14266228&LID=PA&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=14266228&gclid=CMLk5vmUubsCFW9nOgodnEUAaQ
you have no idea . He is able to juggle many balls at once
DeleteI have always loved your love of balls.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that you love that I love balls!
DeleteI expected you to be decking your balls with boughs of holly, but I suppose tangled red lights are somehow more appropriate. Jx
ReplyDeleteWell.... after the accident last year with the holly, I thought lights more safe, and give your skin a flattering glow.
DeleteI feel like I could just come sit and join you with a drink!!!! Very impeccable for the holiday! I love the all red, so different than the white lights! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteFirst off I love the little trees everywhere but the big tree is gorgeous!!!!! I to love my Christmas pyramid. I just got one last year because of you post last year. Love you in the lights!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to hear. I really enjoy mine and everybody asks where to find them.
DeleteI always love your holiday decor, its always so festive. I can't wait to see it for New Years Eve. Those Pizelles looks rather tasty too. Love your shot.
ReplyDeleteOmg! Its so pretty. I haven't decorated yet, but you now have me in the mood to do something! Love your ballls!
ReplyDeleteI really like the tree topper and the lights in the first picture!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll take that as a yes to you volunteering to polish it?
DeleteYour tree and all of the special Christmasy touches are beautiful! I spent a good part of Sunday trying to get our tree straight (finally tied it up to a ceiling beam!) and am seriously considering going faux next year.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like pulling out your treasured ornaments and decorating your tree. Yours is beautiful! And so is the basket!!! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your home with us this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your Christmas decorations! My favorites? The deer head with balls, the fresh pine and the tight cords! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love your tree and some of what look vintage balls and the how you used the extra ornaments in the bowls and jars! You sure like your balls!
ReplyDeleteyou have NO IDEA!
DeleteBryon- first off ignore Moorecock! Yes, the tree has some newer balls and quite a few vintage balls in addition to ornaments I collected over the years. And birds!!!!!!
DeleteLovely post and what beautiful touches. I'm and glad to see you are using vintage and ornaments with memories. A friend of mine said she threw out all her ornaments in order to make a theme tree. I was a bit not in agreement with that as I love the ornaments that have tradition with them. It is what Christmas is all about. I love the bear on the ball!
ReplyDeleteSo festive- love the special details. I wish the bubble lights would make a remerge and come back, they are so neat to see. Now what about the detail pointing to us out here from pic 1? Or am I seeing things?
ReplyDeleteLOVELY!!! How can one not be in the mood after seeing this? I love that you have used red as the common bridge color that brings together every room. I love red!!!! Very comfortable home, and LOVE the use of that china cabinet.
ReplyDeleteLove your Christmas tree and all the trimming. These are the things that make it stylish and special, not "decorated." I have always enjoyed your post with you and your home , not to mention Christmas in general.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful you can put a tree up - it makes it so festive! And nice to see a Christmas Pyramid ! And what I think is the coffee table looks very deck the halls! You have a lovely little bungalow
ReplyDeleteIt all very stunning Mistress, but just how many times has balls been mentioned in this post and comments? It's got to be a record.
ReplyDeleteGreat decorations and Merry Christmas dahhling! Particulary love the silvery icy branches in the bathroom was it? Your place looks like a nice haven to come home too.
ReplyDeleteThose are antique metal tinsel branches- a gift from the Dame Courtney. They are lovely aren't they?
DeleteI am smitten with this fab color palette. It is stunning for the Holidays! Very cheery!
ReplyDeleteOh it's is so pretty! You have great taste, I can see why you enjoy what you do for a living. The small bedroom tree is my favorite.
