A couple weeks ago, one of my good friends sent me the picture below of a homeless guy and what's probably his best friend....and only family. The picture was submitted to a photo contest and won. And I can see why............
Since I received the picture I have not once yet looked at it and not be able to start getting extremely teary eyed. A picture has never moved me so much. Not only because they are homeless, but because you know the dog is all the man has, and the man is all that dog has in this world, and look at the powerful trusting, comfortable bond. That is special indeed.
And then last year was this story that touched me....
A heart warming photo from the news in Sana Catarina, Brasil. A Nativity Scene was erected in a church yard.During the night the folks came across this scene. An abandoned dog was looking for a comfortable, protected place to sleep. He chose baby Jesus as his comfort. No one had the heart to
send him away so he was there all night.
send him away so he was there all night.
I tried to find out if the dog ever found a home, I am thinking he probably did, but isn't that adorable and sad he didn't have a home?
Now, would anyone have a tissue I could use?
Yes I just felt tears pricking my eyes too, I just pinned that pic, it's beautiful. Here's to love wherever we find it.
ReplyDeleteOh you know in Glasgow Scotland, someone stole the baby Jesus - yeah!
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwwwwwww. :)
ReplyDeleteJust proves that man's best friends are pets.
ReplyDeleteUnconditionally.
Dogs (and cats - don't tell Abby I said that) are angels on Earth.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the Baby Jesus put him up for the night.
ReplyDeleteI never cry, it's been years. The first photo did it. That is quite an amazing bond.
ReplyDeleteAgree. How can this not warm your heart…but I'm still crying, a good one though.
