WELCOMING IN THE NEW YEAR

 

 

Hello everyone!

Ready or not the New Year is finally (almost) here!

 

I'm signing off a bit earlier to get ready for my guest tonight, and I'm going to make my rounds shortly. I have Mistress Maddie's #1 Fan coming, in addition to four other friends for a lovely intimate feast and surf and turf dinner. Since I don't exchange gifts with friends, this is my way of showing friendship. I start with Ginger Sidecars with two huge platters of fine cheeses, and Italian meats, BBQ Whiskey Meat balls, olive selection, figs, and my fine selection of nuts, shrimp, Spinach wrapped in filo dough, and some raw vegetables, where we will then have a fillet Mignon dinner with lobster, and endless champagne all night....

Mistress Maddie #1 Fan has already started hitting the sauce and took this gratuitous shot of my rump roast!!!

 

I thought that would be server tomorrow for dinner!!!!

 

What I'll be wearing for tonight....

 

It's tradition here at the Casa, I make the guys wear dress shirts and bow ties for New Years Eve, and since most the guest are staying I have them all wearing holiday boxers of some sort, and when the slumber party starts we all guess who is wearing what holiday. I have a prize who ever gets them right!!!!! Shhhhhh, here's mine.....

 

 

Don't ever let in be said I didn't give you a peek inside my drawers!!!!!!

So I am looking forward to a very fun and entertaining evening........

 

 where no doubt their will be bows ties, champagne swilled and drunken toast.....

 air kisses, asses grabbed, some pecs grabbing, and a shower of peacock feathers....

candle light,  spinning the bottle, gorging on food, dancing in place, some sexy shimmies, and some wanton behaviors, and possibly a stripe tease or two.....

 

 

So as one can see, no need to go out and fight the crowds, much more intimate here, and yes the Mistress will be sauced...good and tight! But even hung over, I'll still get up to put in my Pork and Sauerkraut dinner in the oven for tomorrow, as my guest all stay for another whole dinner for luck you know, and we'll all watch the Mummers Parade!!!

 

And I must say, it's been a great year, and I truly thank each and everyone who reads this crap, and takes time to stop by, a HUGE THANK YOU to you all!!! I so look forward to your comments......and remember, Life's a banquet, and some sorry sons of bitches are starving to death! And of course...

now is it time to get lit?

SHADES OF BLUE

While over the Christmas holiday, as quick as it went, I was able to also visit my good friends, the Capital Street Duo for a Christmas Eve nip, although, the Dame Courtney was out of cups that night, so straws came in handy for the punch bowl........

 

And once again, the Dame Courtney outdid herself with her talents with the decking of the halls! The Dame bends backwards to decorate every year, and it usually takes weeks to get the last touches up and place just so, while I suspect the Master Russ, sits, shaking his head,and laughs at all the hoopla. It's always a spectacular sight , and this year the Dame went with adding in shades of blue, which I loved. It was very calming, especially with the flocked snow about......

 

The tree was very elegant by the fireplace. The rest of the first floor was tied together with white and gold. And as you will see, the Dame is also very fond of the balls!!!! Everything you see is all vintage, and I'm here to tell you, they have quite the collection amassed. A beautiful mantle!!!!

 

 

 

 

For some reason or other this was one of my favorite vignettes......

 

 

I think it reminded me of my grandmother, who used to do little displays like this at Christmas. Aren't those deer adorable?!?! One could spend hours in their lovely home, with little touches like this all over to be discovered. The infamous Victorian shoe collection on the beams.....and as you can see, various trees of all sizes, many from now, defunct department stores.....

 

 

 

As all good things must come to a end, so did this beautiful night, at this Christmas jewel, with warm friends,  good libations, and the feeling of togetherness. Like living in a opulent store window. Tootles!

THE LAST MONDAY

It's a shame we couldn't do away with Mondays altogether!!! Here we are again, the last Monday of the year. Of course, that would make another day a Monday, errrrr, wouldn't it??? I never said the plan was prefect.  Well, it's only a half day, and then I'm done till Thursday, so a two day week sounds just heavenly to me. I'm getting very excited for New Years Eve, and my festivities planning.

HOUSE RULES FOR BUSTER

Just because Buster Bolfig Borghese is the Mistress's dog and most times adorable, that's doesn't mean he is without rules! He is a male after all, and like the houseboys, he too is given rules and boundaries to abide by. And like the houseboys, I am very strict about enforcing some rules around here.........

 

Buster must say away from the table....always

 

 

and sneaking into the bed in the middle of the night is a huge no-no, and won't be put up with....

 

 

Soft stuffed animals toys are strongly discouraged....

 

 

Staying off the lounge at all times....

 

 

Confusing the indoor tree for the outdoor tree to find bones under....

 

in addition, sad puppy faces are neither required or desired to guilt guest for food.....

or sunning one's puppy ass on the bed will not be tolerated....

 

But at the end of the day, he wins.... can one really begrudge the Buster.....anything?
