Get Your Hand off My Trigger
One thing about myself, and for those around me will tell ya, I am almost always in a upbeat, happy and laid back mood. I like to keep people calm, and even if I am going threw turmoil, I always keep it too myself and don't like to bother others. But this week at work we were getting ready for a major visit by the high up executives, and that always get everybody's panties in a twist. Not me. Their just people too. Needless to say the visit was today, and went very well and I even got some kudos's. But all week, people were like how can you always be so damn happy and upbeat with all this stress? Some people try , I swear, to push your trigger. Never works with me. But I do have some tips on how I get myself to my happy place.
1:Sing really loudly in the shower, with the windows open and don't care what the neighbors will say. get the words wrong, no one cares.... I prefer Ethel Merman's Your the Top!! No pun intended.
2:Think about your good times, and get ready for new ones. and maybe, just maybe, this can become a good time too.
3:Know that those in your life are there for a reason, to support, love and saturate you with all that is good.
4:Breath deep breaths.
5:Have some sex. And if it is easily accessible, have lots of it. A good long round. You wouldn't believe how much stress it relives. And gives you a attitude adjustment.
6:DON'T catastrophize.
7:Buy some happy and pretty, and stay hydrated. Have plenty of cock-a-tails!
step 8: be happy that something like this happened, for some people this is a dream - a big fat wet one

ReplyDeleteOh Mistress B, what a lovely attitude! These days it's refreshing to see a lady of society to keep her cool. And I tend to agree with having a few nips. William always says I'm in a happy mood when he gets home. Little does he know I have a few drinks with the girls at our afternoon bridge game.
ReplyDeleteWords to live by! As you guess, the sex thing works for me well.LOL! But a great post. Funny but helpful!

ReplyDeleteMy rule of thumb is that customers/clients/bosses/execs are like sharks and they feed on panic.
So, don't give ém panic.
