My goodness kids, could it really have been a month I went to rest a spell on the chaise??? It was not all rest. After I found out about my trip to Boston to help open two showrooms, (none of which I was happy with, as I had to cancel meeting several bloggers... and all men I may add) on the way home a started catching a bug. I went downhill on the train ride back quick, but luckily started nursing myself, tea with honey and gin, Vicks'ed up, steamy showers and got plenty of sleep and knocked it out right quick. First time I had any cold or flu since 2017. Thanks heaven I come from strong stock, or again, is it the gin? Work had also gotten busy with a project for me, but the online break was a good one, to clear the mind, unplug from the news and chatter and get caught up on reading and tube viewing. Caught an excellent new show on PBS called Funny Lady and it was brilliantly and entertainingly done well. Of course, when I left for Boston, while there, and on the return, I encountered snow the whole time. Since then, it has been very mildly unseasonable...even saw my first robin yesterday...and today? Bitterly cold and guess what? Snow predicated overnight into tomorrow...1-3" Thats nothing to me, lol! In my mind I'm like yay!!!! So let's combine snow and the upcoming day of love shall we?
isn't Gin a vitamin supplement?
ReplyDeleteYour correct honey....I take it daily with all my vitamins!!!!! Cheers!
DeleteGlad you recommend "Funny Lady" so highly! I've got it recorded but haven't watched it yet (plan to soon, though). I just read online somewhere that a second season is being made as well.
ReplyDeleteIm glad to read that Debs. I feel the show is just getting off the ground and getting going. It was pretty good, I enjoyed it!
DeleteHuntleyBiGuy: Gkad your medicinal regimen worked. There’s quite a lot to pucker up for in this post. 😚
ReplyDeleteAnd things to pucker for things you don't see here!
DeleteGlad you're better. Gin is very good stock. I love the expression “bite me” and it was often my go-to. Today I spotted something I’d love to bite in a couple of these photos. Can you guess? SO happy you’re back and we were all so disappointed you couldn’t join us in NYC.
ReplyDeleteI saw those Valentine cookies and thought of Anna Marie. That was one of her Infamous sayings, bite me.
DeleteNo rocking robins in the winter? We have 2 or 3 come scoffing the bird food every day.
ReplyDeleteOur Robins generally migrate at the end of fall South and don't return to warm weather sets in.
DeleteI'm glad you're feeling better. There is a nasty cold going around.
ReplyDeleteOMG, that heart-shaped dress!

PS All that "baby pink" is starting to make me queasy. Be a luv and pour me another large Gimlet, sweetie...
And I think Winston Churchill was right, I'll drink to that!
DeleteI hate pink
ReplyDeleteAnd pink is a color I find looks good and sexy on every man I have ever seen wear it. I don't like it in interiors though....
DeleteUgh. Hate being sick. I think 2019 was the year I had that crud. I didn't drink and the illness lasted almost two weeks. Now I know what to do. Next time, I'll break out the Gin! Happy St. Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Grrrl! Glad you kicked the bug quick!
ReplyDeleteI don't know you to EVER be sick since I've known you!!!! Your like a damn Ox! All of a sudden Im craving strawberry ice cream, and cakes.
ReplyDeleteNOW...all is right with the world again!!! Your back! What a fun and fluffy mood board today...but no more snow!!! Love the cookies though. I too watched Funny Lady and LOVED IT. So well down between the retro music, the wardrobe and the cast. I hope it comes back for a second season. The lead actress, Gemma Arterton was perfect, and would have never guessed that Rupert Evervett was Brain Debenham!!!!
ReplyDeleteVicks'd up? My, that's rather kinky, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI've long said it hard to keep a good bitch down. Welcome Back Mistress!
ReplyDeleteThis board looks like the Kingdom of Borghese in the winter. Complete with hot ski boy!!! So glad to read you again. Love the cake. Where should we go to make out???
ReplyDeleteNow that is a mood gurl. XOXO
ReplyDeleteRight on time for the New Year, huh?
ReplyDeleteRed. It's auspicious!!
XOXO
YAY! Your back! I was beginning to wonder that maybe you hung up on the blog. I would miss you. So glad Mondays are back to normal with some lovely mood enhancing get-aways. Especially the fine backside of that guy. You're the first person I know you mentioned Funny Lady. I caught it and fell in love with it.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I saw a snippet of the upcoming Nolly, with Helena Bonham Carter.
Thank God you are back, and the houseboys can finally settle down with their Mistress Borghese. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day and I hope it puts you in a red mood and back in the pink. :)
Isn't that your houseboy Arnulfo with the bodacious ass in the photo, and isn't that your houseboy Troy in that illustration ? I didn't know he posed for cartoonists. :-)
Thank you!!!! Don't you just adore Arnulfo's assets?
DeleteTundra Bunny here...
ReplyDeleteGreat mood board to kick off VD week, Maddie -- nice to see you're thinking outside (and inside) the chocolate box, LOL!
I'm glad you're back and that you knocked out that illness quickly. Gin makes good medicine. I put Funny Lady on my PBS list this evening. Now that I know you liked it, I'll start watching it sooner rather than later. I love all your pink. It puts me in a Valentine's Day mood.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I'm in such a festive mood I might even break out the pink underwear.
DeleteFun mood board today!!!! I love the fantasy and sure wouldn't mind the art of kissing with that guy and his fantastic ass!
