With so much going on this Fourth, I'm sure our picnic will be more somber this year. It's a year I feel torn on rather to even display a flag. So, whether you celebrate or not this year, I hope everyone has a Happy Fourth of July.
Category is.... Firecrackers!
Sam Star
Miss Richfield 1981
I'll celebrate those Queens today! Stay safe, sweetpea! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLike Savannah, I’ll celebrate the queens... and you.
ReplyDeleteYou two are both sweet!!!! It people like us that have got to stick together.
DeleteFabulous post! I love Miss Richfield 1981's little mobility scooter and muffin top!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Patriotism is deliciously alive. Have a Happy Fourth!
ReplyDeleteI too am feeling down, but I won't let go this is my country too, not just the ones trying hard to make it only theirs.
ReplyDeleteI can celebrate anyone who will continue the fight. Make Nov 8th our RE-Independence Day.
ReplyDeleteI put out 'Old Gloria' last night and bring her down tonight.
ReplyDeleteShit, I just wish I could get my old glory to go down for once.
DeleteAdore. Haven't seen Miss Richfield 1981 in ages... she used to have an Xmas show down at Hennepin Center for the Arts. She's a hoot. Happy 4th, dear. Raise one for me... and no, I don't mean a tini... :) Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteIf I raise it, you'll have to drink it...and no , I don't mean a tini either.
DeleteI will catch Miss Richfield here shortly in P-town.
I like Pat Lark comment...Maybe Nov 8 will set our country in better direction. I'm low key now.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Hurrah for the red, white, and blue.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
A salute to all of these queens! Happy Independence Day to all!
ReplyDeleteTundra Bunny here... What a lovely bouquet of firecrackers you have there, Mistress Maddie! Maybe there will be more reason to celebrate next year and you can break out your sparkler pasties and patriotic glitter sunglasses for us, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you think! Your hired!!!! I don't know for what yet, but your hired!
DeleteIt's a long standing tradition in San Francisco for the fog to roll in just before the fireworks start so you can't see anything, but you can hear all the explosions and the dogs howling.
ReplyDeleteJust like being in a bathhouse!!!! It may be dark but one can still hear the gagging, moaning and dogs howling.
DeleteHappy 4th despite America no longer being land of the free
ReplyDeleteVery hot!
ReplyDeleteHhhm, I was expecting to see some of the firecrackers from the candy shop.
ReplyDeleteThe queens look lovely. Mine was okay until the neighbors kept firing large fireworks well after 11pm. I didn't get a full night's rest.
ReplyDeleteA lovely composition of photos!
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of reading the news on my phone while eating breakfast and since we're in the latest US time zone terrible things sometimes get read with my first cup of coffee. I was feeling ambivalent about the 4th, but after reading about the shootings outside of Chicago it was just plain sad. I took my frustration out on weeds as I do what I can to help keep America beautiful. If only I could do more to help keep her sane.
I agree Blue. I wish I could do more for her too. And I keep hoping her friend Karama gets off her ass soon to come to her rescue. How long can she hold on...
DeleteThey all look like superheroes to me :-)
