PRIDE IS HERE

Happy Gay Pride Philadelphia!!!

and to other cities' celebrating this weekend as well. With the Mistress in the company of out of town guest again this weekend and events, I haven't had time to post regular features. I urge everyone to get out and attend events. Have fun and enjoy in the revelry, the hot men watching spending time as a community, enjoying our rights, enjoy your drag queens, and meet new friends, see and be seen, but I ask we all remember the real reason and keep them in your mind as well.

Here's a picture of the Stonewall today, from my recent trip
When Tim was here and after the CAMP exhibit, what a perfect place to go since Tim had never been to New York,Having a beer with him there that day at Stonewall, and any time I am there is always  so surreal. From the newspaper headlines framed on the walls to the pride flags hanging from the ceilings, this small, but mighty bar (it’s TINY!) witnessed so much. We owe everything to that one night. Without our Trans brothers and sisters, drag queens and those fem men, present that night at this bar, who knows if marriage equality would’ve even happened!

performance bound to becoming a tradition. Giger Minj, Alaska, Alyssa Edwards, Tatianna, and Phi-Phi OHara perform I Am What I Am.
The words still ring true.

  4. Have fun and represent! The gay community has come far and still further to go.

I think Ginger was the only one really aware of a what a huge honor it was, to play that role in front of Harvey Fierstein!!!! And what an even bigger honor it is, to see Fierstein cry because of another actor's performance!! That clip always gets to me.

  13. I too will be attending three prides myself. Very nice message here Mistress. While having fun we must remember Marsha, Sylvia and the queens trans and fem men and lesbians who Talk about paying your dues....they paid with hair, teeth skin and bone....and that is how we got to this point today.

    It didn't come easy.

  24. OK, I should have commented last Sunday, but I saw the top of the post and thought "Uh, oh, same photo that I'm using. He'll think I'm stealing from him!" But I can assure you that it's just a coincidence.

Nice to see Marsha and Sylvia in all their glory.
