PRIDE IN WORK

This year, with this current evil regime we have thinking they are bettering this country, and completely full of shit mind you, it's more important then ever to show that this wonderful community of the LGBTQ will not taking it lying down. All of us, jocks twinks, fems, leather daddies, queens, trans, questioning, bears, kings, lesbians...ALL, must come together and work as one and support each other!!!! I know most have been to Pride parades and festivals, but I feel, rather be it, we go with friends or alone, get out to your cities festivities, be seen, and celebrate what we have conquered so far, and honor our past heroes…. and who knows, you may even meet some new friends. I have gotten a few emails as to what will be going on in Philly from incoming guest, so I will have another post coming for those wondering. This year I felt it a very important Pride, so much so, I was compelled to even do a simple aisle display for the month at our store, and the company was very supportive, as was the store manger. Not only does it tie together fashion, but I thought it should also be educational. How many really know what the colors stand for in the Pride flag? I have been very touched that mostly straight customers have really liked the simple, but to the point visual, many not knowing the colors even stood for anything, and it was the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. Mission accomplished.

So get out there and show those bastards are PRIDE!!!!!!

  5. I might add, that I like the mannequins being white and simple, to POP the color to further enhance the message. It's refreshing to read that many straight people are noticing too.

But you said it. In times like this, Pride is political.

    Happy Pride!

  15. Wonderful display! I remember Stonewall...and, at one time, knew what each color stood for. Of course the meaning slipped from memory. Thanks for the reminder. Hugs!
