IT'S THE WEEKEND.......
.....and that means it's Happy Hour 🍸🍸🍸!!! Here for our evening cock-a-tails, is a Henry Mancini classic, and my personal soundtrack to my life, to herald us into the weekend. You may recognize it from a classic movie?Bottoms up bitches!
Gin Gimlet would be a good stripper name if you ever want to moonlight and take up the pole. If one goes by first street and pet names, mine would be Webster Popo. Doesn't have quite the same ring to it.
Bring on the torches and pitchforks, I've never seen this movie! I do love me some Henry Mancini. There is such a feel to his music that always gets me in the old ticker.
All I remember from that movie is "Moon River" which, as good a song as that is, I felt they played one too many times (George Peppard even whistles it at one point). So when did they play this instrumental? Was it during that wild party scene? Whenever it was in the film, it's pretty good!
Speaking of Henry Mancini, I have a joke for you:
What happened when the Pink Panther stepped on an insect?
Dead ant, dead ant...dead ant, dead ant, dead ant...
Yes, your right about moon river, a bit over done. This song was indeed in the party scene. Friends always say I'm the Mag Wildwood of the movie, but I have never passed out drunk. Well.... I never hit the floor boards like she did at the party.
I have heard the joke and I still find it very funny...now Ill being singing it all night.
(pours a gin gimlet) shake that caboose, mistress! it brings all the boyz to your yard!

DeleteGin Gimelt would be a excellent drag name. I have always thought if Anne Marie were a stripper, her name would be Candy Samples.
DeleteRelax and enjoy the weekend! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I remember that song from the movie, and always wondered what it was called. I love that song.
ReplyDeleteProduce that caboose!
ReplyDeleteShit, we just had jock strap night!
DeleteAnd such a lovely caboose it is. Here's to the weekend.
ReplyDeleteI always love your pictures for these post. And to hear Mancini...this is a classy joint.
