Due to some unforeseen work schedule changes, and after some heads roll, I'll be back later in the week when things calm down and my gin level is back up. In the meantime, take a gander at Chad Michaels in one of his shows as Joan Crawford!!!! He is pure genius, foregoing a usual lip sync!

Get Your Woody Serviced!
It is such a warm beautiful day today, the Mistress is off to make a house call to a sick friend. So I have decided to have the houseboys open up the Casa for a neigborhood car wash! That's how I roll. You didn't think I am popular here for my baked goods did you? So pull on up and have your old woody washed! It will be entertaining I'm sure! And my dear Cali Boi and Craig, I don't want to hear of multiple drive thru's! My social director Anitia Mooorecock will be on hand to pass round drinks!
So pull on in the gated drive for the fun to begin and get the machine washed, sparklin clean!
Enjoy!!!!

Laughing with Michelle Visage
Why RuPaul didn't have her as a judge sooner I'll never know. Michelle is much more funny, and catty than Merle Ginsberg was. And much more fabulous too! And than there's that laugh.......
Reminds me of Tallulah Bankhead no?

From the Candy Shop....
This week is one of my favorite succulent candies from the Candy Shop, Brock, and not of the cheap variety of candy, but a nice hard, melt in your mouth confection! Brock Yurich, having just graduated from UCF with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Brock has moved to NYC, right near my dear sister Mame, to pursue a career in live performance between lifting, personal training, and sharpening his skills on the stage. He says he loves doing photo shoots and they are great motivation to keeping his body in shape, however he also says he is beginning to leave the "college days" of his career and move onto more professional work. Well he can sell his wares at the candy shop anytime he wants too.

Grande Dame
I have seen this Grande Dame several times over the years perform, and while in Washington DC this past weekend I saw her again at Town Dance Boutique, and she truly amazed me once again her her beauty, and her great performance! Shi-Queeta-Lee has been a female impersonator -- as he is very careful to label himself -- for 16 years. Shi-Queeta loves the limelight and the attention that he gets when he is on stage as Shi-Queeta, and you can tell by his glow! His top characters are Tina Turner, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston and Diana Ross. While most people think terms like "female impersonator," "transsexual" and "drag queen" are interchangeable, Shi-Queeta is quick to clarify. According to him, a female impersonator is someone who impersonates an icon or actress to create an illusion on stage, typically for the purpose of turning a profit. A drag queen, on the other hand, is someone who "just likes to put on the clothes." Shi-Queeta also created a reality show titled Drag City:DC which followed herself and several other beauties from the area, which I found very entertaining. Shi-Queeta is also an active philanthropist and advocate for HIV/AIDS charities. He got involved in the cause after many of his friends passed away from HIV/AIDS in the 1980s. One of his friend's mothers took him aside and asked him to donate his time and energy on behalf of her deceased child, and he has been involved in the cause ever since. Though like any true diva, Shi-Queeta is surrounded by a lot of drama, but he does not let it get him down. " Some of people don't like me. The more they hate me, the stronger I am. The reason why a lot of people don't like me or accept me is because I strive to go for what I want and I'm not afraid to go after my dream." You go girl! Many more wonderful years for you in Washington DC!!!!! Be sure to visit her website at Shi-Queeta Lee or her Facebook for her performances locations and times. She has really good a heart of gold!
Chow'n Down at Chick-fil-A
If drag queens endorse Christian-right owned Chick-fil-A, is it still an endorsement? NOPE. This video and all it's hilarity is written and preformed by the wicked talents of Willam Bellini, Detox and Vicki Vox!

Fun and Some Frolic
Well, how time flies when one has fun. Has it been four days already? I am back to the Casa after visiting good friend Patty PassAround in our nations lovely capital city, and the weather was outstanding to have a spring walk a about and take in the sights. I had no real agenda, or landmarks to see, or museums to view, as I have been to these spot many times. No... this was all about just a good time, or if you will, complete debauchery, food, and some cock-a-tails! My hostess's townhouse is right in the thick of the gayhborhood so we could stumble, errrrr...... I mean walk, to just about everything easily. After a nice relaxing brunch on Saturday we had to visit my favorite drinking spot Nellie's Sports Bar. We were there for happy hour, granted we got there at 2:30, so we were a tad early. But the eye candy is just a sight to see and from watching the crowds of queens from the roof deck gave us a bird's eye view!!! And from the inside it also gave me a view of my favorite bartender...
The highlight for me though was Saturday night at Town Dance Boutique.
Town for me captures the feeling of the clubs days of yester year. Town is a very chic two story club, with a melting pot of all types, great Dj's, the right touch of camp, and a bevy of hot boys! Town also has a great drag show every Saturday night. This time the talents of Shi-Queeta Lee,Tatiana, yes, from Drag Race , Lena Lett, Jessica Spaulding Deveraux and Ba'Naka. Shi-Queeta is always a real talent and never disappoints, and does one hell of a mean Tina Turner! And Tatiana looked amazing and could really tear up the floor boards. The other thing about Town is it has plenty of room to roam in, and dance which we did plenty. I also met several guys, one of which was getting a little to clingy. He was also afraid to touch the Mistress. Something just not right!!!! A fun night!!! Good times! Sunday was a gathering of the clan for Sunday brunch and then lots of lounging! I tell ya, the men of DC are among the most put together I have seen in some time. They have really stepped it up. Every other guy was just so cute, I wanted to take them all home, but as you know the Casa is already full. I should really collect something else, like perhaps stamps. I must simply plan a return trip already. Nothing like a good weekend debauching I say. Except for those hang overs. Tootles!
Apparently They Have to Much Time......

It's Off to Washington........
...well another week has come and gone, and the Mistress is leaving behind the Casa again, in lieu of going to visit my good friend Patty Passaround, so the Mistress and entourage are heading to Washington DC as the Mistress is enjoying a four day weekend. And it will be all pleasure with dinners and some night lounging at some of the hot spots, and a drag show at Towne. And I'm ready to begin with some gin and tonics. This will most likely be your Mistress by Friday night.......
While there, I will probably drop in to see the Obama's at the White House, for some cucumber sandwiches and cock-a-tails! Michelle always wants to know where I find such good help. Anything you want me to ask them whilst I'm there? So I'll see all next week! Tootles!

Buster Sleeps!
It's been a long day. First Buster Bolfig Borghese ran around the Casa trying to hinder the handy man here to put in new fixtures in the tub, then had three long walks, almost caught a squirrel, saw two of his dog pals on said walk, dug two holes in newly mulched flower beds, tossed some throws pillows around, re-arranged his dog bed per his liking, ate squeaker out of toy, and had his two meals. Now he is on the sofa.
First for a temporary lounge.....
....and then sleeps!
The Mistress? Having her gin and tonic.

The Paper Clamp
Many of you have used these niffy little paper clamps I'm sure. I prefer them over the paper clip any day. But they are also a trick of the trade when doing visual styling.
We have fool you. We use this trick alot in the store, in the windows, and when doing catalogue styling for the models. I have even seen stylist use this trick for reporters, and newscasters when in the field, and for all other sorts of videos. My friends have often complained when they get home or order something, if never looks like it did on the model. This is one reason why. Sometimes we will use special sizes made for mannequins, but that is very rare anymore. And this is also why so many companies are coming out with custom or athletic fit clothing. It runs much smaller in sizing and gives the customer a more "built" feel and look. For example, in the picture below, I would bet you there are clamps on the back of this model to give a fitted look to that shirt and the suit. There is also a trick to gap the fabric of the trouser from behind to give the appearance of a nice package too.
Pretty neat huh? And we all thought the clothing was tailor made, or every model wore clothes beautifully. Poppycock!!!!!

Things Are Looking Up for Monday.......
......or should I say sideways, or down, or diagonal!!!
Happy Monday to all my lovelies. The Mistress had a wonderful weekend with visiting family,,,again, and is now in a dirty mood since I didn't see any beaus this weekend. Although I did watch the Iron Lady. Which is ironic with this post for Monday, with all the hard iron your sure to see!!! Like the Mistress, this photographer is never one to shy away from a little, or big, ahhhhh, edge... in his images! He is one of my favorites, Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf awhile back, did this eye-popping editorial entitled L’HOMO for Linda magazine. Denim editorials and campaigns are inherently sexy, but this one "raises" it to a whole new level. I’ve been listening to the song Monster from Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster album yesterday , and the part “I’ve never seen one like that before… that boy is a monster” seems like the appropriate song for this post today............

.......where the pussy cats are lined up around the Casa du Borghese.......
...where after dinner, with visiting family, the Mistress will return to judge best pussy in show!
From the Candy Shop
The candy shop is now open again, it has been a while no? The week Eric Winter is the rare confection who has the right amount of cute, handsome and the smooth, melt in your mouth sexy factor! Not to mention a sense of humor. Eric recently started to star of ABC'S GCB as the extremely adorable and mischievous Luke Lourd. Lawd, if he would have gotten out of his car with no pants like on the show when he got rear ended, we would have ended up back at the Casa right quick! Before acting, Winter was a male model and had some high profile campaigns, such as one print campaign for Tommy Hilfiger and then went on to stars in a slew of tv shows like Brothers and Sisters, and The Mentalist. He is also ambassador for Operation Smile, which is a nonprofit medical service organization and aides the children's medical charity provides cleft lip and palate repair surgeries to children worldwide. And he has a heart too. I'm getting weak..........
