Queen Ginger Grants X-rated Dressing Pictures!!!!!!

Over the weekend whilst relaxing and reading blogs, my good blog friend and pass reigning Queen of the Krewe of Olympus, in Houston, the Queen Olympus XLI, the stunning Queen Ginger Grant, whose is sure to go down in history for all her philanthropy work and stunning wardrobe, featured her final night as Queen, and finally revealed her labor of love, her Pièce de résistance, her gown, my lovelies! And I'll have you know she made and designed the whole thing herself!!!! Now I came across these photos on my other blog buddy's place, Lenorenevermore, in a fun post. Does Miss Ginger know she was being photographed by paparazzi while in her changing boudoir? I can only wonder if she had chamber maids helping her, or some hot male assistants? Could she be a chamber maid delight? So are these the steps Miss G went through? And get a gander at her bloomers!!!! Sure looks like Miss Ginger to me.

I just don't know if these are real or fakes, but judge for yourself, sure looks like Miss Ginger, and be sure to stop by these wonderful blogs and say hi to the gals!

The Year of Ginger?

Is it me, or is this going to be the start of the year of Ginger? And I'm referring to the spice, not the fabulous drag queen Ginger Grant!

That Ginger is always in vogue and ever fabulous! No, I'm referring to the spice.Ginger is one of the most versatile spices we know. It's pungent citrus-like flavor is a compliment to many ingredients, both sweet and savory! We absolutely love it in our holiday cakes and cookies, but then I also throw a teaspoon or two into long braises and savory root vegetable gratins. Careful, though - ginger can quickly go from being a tantalizing back-note to overpowering the entire dish, just like Ginger Grant!!! Sorry girl, you never thought you'd be used in a food post did ya? Remember when pomegranate was all the rage in drinks and good food? Well, the other day my good friend and fellow blogger Kailyn were discussing Ginger sidecars, a lovely little cock-a-tail that the Mistress just became acquainted with. Boy are they mind altering!!!! On my recent trip to the liqueur store I got all the fix ins for the lovely little gem, and here's the one I made.

It contains muddled ginger, four oz of brandy, two oz of Cointreau, lemon juice and two teaspoons of maple syrup. And I also added a pinch of ginger brandy, you know, for good measure. Yum! Anywho, Kailyn and I were saying that ginger is popping up everywhere! Since then I have seen ginger candy, ginger popping up like crazy in all my favorite restaurants seasonal menus and I even had a Ginger Latte at the local coffeehouse. Even the chocolate boutique Godiva has come out with a ginger truffle! Fresh ginger is good for so many things. We love how crystallized ginger safely and naturally soothes an upset stomach. We love ginger, strong and spicy, in hot tea. We really love it in pumpkin pie. When buying ginger look for full, plump roots that are juicy and not dried out on the ends at all. Some of the most recent other things I had with Ginger.

Grilled chicken with a ginger sauce

Brown fried rice with ginger and scallions

Even a ginger gelleto.

And of course, who doesn't love gingerbread! And if any of you try the Ginger side car let me know what you think. It's great to have when coming in from the cold. I can see I'm going to be drunk alot this winter! Tootles!

Weekend with the Girls

Well, the Mistress is back from a lovely weekend in New York City where I was spending a weekend with my good friend and sister, Mame and the ever funny and fabulous Miss Ginger Grant, who it is always a pleasure to see and break a cock-a-tail with! And did we d have some of those! Unfortunately we were to go to the Bronx zoo, but got rained out on Saturday so we managed to make ourselves busy with a quick shopping trip and a tour to the Arby's only to find it had closed. I thought David was going to cry. That poor thing. They keep closing those darn Arby's up there. But don't you all worry now, her spirits were lifted when that night we arrived -finally to The Urges Lounge!

Ok. I will admit it. We did hit the Urges both nights we were up there. What else would you expect from us ho's. We like our papi's. And did they have them there. I especially took a liken to Fernando, but I tell you this, they were all hot and muscled and even in parts you couldn't see!!! One of the other go-go's gave us a little peek-a-boo. OH MY! What was that? We did have a very lovely time there. Although Sunday morning was a wee bit ugly, and poor Kailyn even got a "dronk" call from the Mistress. And she wasn't hearing any of it. I think she was putting moves on some young thing because she was off the phone quicker than a New York minute! Next day, we decided to take Miss G to see Chinatown since she wanted to see it, plus Mame and myself could get our wicked hang overs soaked up with some delish BBQ-Pork Pies, as I call them.

They are actually called Pork Buns and they are SO DAM GOOD! We went to our favorite place the Excellent Dumpling House where we par took of a huge feast of like 7 appetizers, pork buns, Thai rice, and all kinds of other little delish nibblies! The table was packed full and the food just kept rolling out! We also saw some poor ho and her tool who should definitely apply for the next season of Tool Academy. They were the lunch time entertainment. After lunch was over and we were like three stuffed pigs off to slaughter, we then took Miss G to the Pearl River Mart.

Pearl River Mart is a huge emporium of items and collections of the Chinese lifestyle. There is everything from novelties, clothing, food items, housewares, dishes, lighting, bath good and sundries. One could spend hours looking in there!

Every time I go to see Mame, I always like to go there and see what's new and get myself a new fan. I also was very pleased at my major purchase of a lovely sugar and creamer set for a whopping price of $5! That's the beauty of the mart. There prices are unheard of. Miss Ginger also cleaned house with some purchasing from it seemed every department. After Chinatown, we headed back to the Village by way of Little Italy where we enjoyed some refreshing Gellato and then headed to Garage for a cock-a-tail or two and a light supper and enjoyed the wonderful jazz of the place. I think by this time "the Urge" from the last two nights was catching up with us, as we were all a little wiped out. So I bid farewell to Miss Ginger, and then did a quick powder at Mame's and changed into my travel attire before hitting the train back to Philadelphia. It was a lovely time girls and it is always nice to see ya. Should we plan on the Urge for the week after next? And cake. Lots of cake.Tootles!

From Beach to the City

Well, dear readers all these vacations and weekend excursions are just confusing the hell out of me! I don't know if I'm coming or going. I have been pretty missing in action of late. But y'all see last weekend I went to Rehoboth Beach to visit friends. And leave it to the Mistress to enjoy the beach just a bit too much. After a lovely time out the night before and a very delish dinner at Eden, the next day I went to the beach. It was very nice and warm with some sun, but not a lot. It was a bit hazy out. So the Mistress went and enjoyed some sun, frolicked like a water nymph in the ocean, and made merry with two nice looking papis. After a nice walk and some beverages, the Mistress fell asleep. When she awoke, I packed up and bid farewell to all and showered. And then did the sunburn come out! The first half of the week was torture. But it was a lovely weekend. With much eye candy to be seen.

Now I'm off again to New York City to spend the weekend with my good friend and sister Mame, and the fabulous Grand Poo-Bah, Ginger Grant, to help celebrate Mamie's birthday. So this should be a a fun filled weekend with the girls. So no posting, unless some Boy-Toy gets the urge for another guest stint! Have a wonderful weekend y'all. Tootles!

The Great DUST BUNNNY WEEKEND--Part 1

The Mistress is happy to report that she is finally back in the land of the living and feeling back to normal. I'm happy to report the weekend was a complete blast! Filled with drinking, eating, drinking, shopping, drinking, men watching, and more drinking!!! The Mistress left by train for the weekend with her trustee flask with Pinot Grigo. One does like a little nip on the way. I got into New York by 4:24 and was very excited to see my sister and long time friend Mamie and the fun loving, and laid back Howard who I knew I was going to like.

He is a real sweet person with just a touch of cattiness which I love. Plus we share the same taste in mens! Upon getting to Penn Station, Mamie called and said they were at the terminal bar, but didn't share exactly where it was. Like a bloodhound I sniffed out the hooch from the bar and found them. So yes dear ones, after getting in the drinking commenced. After a couple of cock-a-tails, we left for a little R&R, before heading to the Dust Bunny Cocktail Party at the Sofitel where we would meet the rest. We decided to meet the Fabulous Miss Ginger Grant in the bar before heading up to the girls suite, so we met in the Gaby Bar of the Sofitel. What a swank place!

The Mistress was ready to move in! And Miss Ginger held up her reputation! She truly is fabulous and a real neat person who I am proud to call a new friend! And funny as hell! The intoxicated swank thing in the background is Miss Kailyn who I love to get a good drink on with! And is she full of many, many stories.

After a cock-a-tail or two we headed up to the room where we met the rest of the gang. I had been just dying to the point of peeing myself to meet the Empress Beth, for like -ever! And she was just has sweet as molasses in a shoe-fly pie! What a wonderful, warm and interesting person. Although for the night she was known as India! And next to her was Zombie Mom who is also from California who arrived with Kailyn. She too was a very interesting person and very beautiful. And a hip mother is she! I just loved her whole aura about her.

And rounding out the group was Mark from Delaware and his partner Joe! What a pair of sweet guys! I had been wanting to meet them for some time. Those to were so welcoming and had a few wonderful stories to share. I'm so glad I finally got to meet them.

After a wonderful party, the boys went to Urge to see some go-go boys! And what a sight to be seen. The first night there was, how should I say this, not memorable. Ya see, I was just a wee bit drunk by time we left the party. I do know Mamie said poor Miss Ginger was holding a wall up and ready for the hang over to set in and the same with the Mistress. Poor Mamie, she had to round us boys up and literatly put our asses in a cab upon which Howard said Miss Ginger and I passed right out! And the next day was ugly for all us, but we recovered in time to start all over again for the Drunken Dust Bunny West Village Bar Tour! We were joined also by the handsome Marker and his other half, who were very funny, and the Mistress's Boy-Toy also arrived for the tour.

Here is my two hotties, Boy-Toy and Beth!

My sister Mamie, the handsome Marker, and Mark.

Kailyn and the Boy-Toy.

Ginger,Beth-aka India and Howard.

After the bar tour ended and we were all pretty soused, the night wouldn't be complete without two lovely drunk dial calls to everybody favorite, Auntie Flame of Babble On fame, who sounded so cute on the phone with her southern accent, and to Kayce of Chef the City, who is also another sweet southern gal and I believe can cook like no one's business! We just wished they could have been there. There is always the next one. Well the gang split in to . Some went to get there eat on, and the boys yet again, couldn't get enough of the Urge so we went back of course and took Kailyn with us! And what sights again. I loves me a hot go-go boy! One of them even place the Mistress's whole face into his crotch! Unfortunately since my face was unavailable to take a picture and my hands on his rock hard tights, you see I couldn't take one. Little ole me was embarrassed, and as you can see Kailyn was absolutely no help.

And my sister Mamie was also quite popular with the go-go hotties! And thank God the Boy-Toy was there to protect the Mistress from the Colombian stalker she had. He took a liking to me and was not taken no for a answer! He's in the picture with Mamie. Come think of it the first night there Mamie had to inform me there was also a guy pawing me up Friday too. Of course I don't recollect such things!

Needless to say, we were out to the very wee hours. I think we got in somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 or 5 am- I think. All I know is it was a great weekend and I loved meeting all of you so much, Beth, Howard, Mark, Marker, Zombie Mom, Kailyn and Joe. All such nice lovely people. And while on the bar tour we meet a really neat guy at one of the oldest gay bars in the village Julius's. He was telling of some very interesting stories of the bar's past and started to tell us of the Stonewall Riots. He was a very warm person and really made us feel right at home in his establishment. Tomorrow I'll continue with part two of the weekend of shopping and a wonderful pig out session at the Dumpling House in Chinatown and a jaunt through Little Italy! Tootles!

Miss Ginger is Putting Out

...her talent(s) that is! Well, that doesn't sound right either. What the Mistress is trying to say is that Miss Ginger is putting her drag talent and charitable skills to good use to raise money for a good cause. Whew, there we go! Miss
Ginger Grant, philanthropist, performer and a huge Icon of Texas is having her biggest show of the year, and will feature performers from all over the Texas landscape. It is Miss Ginger's Roundup.

And what a good cause it is. The Roundup is benefiting Legacy Community Health Services. They empower their clients to lead better lives by providing premium, compassionate health care services, and are committed to serving a diverse community including those persons who have traditionally faced problems accessing health care (among many other services). Miss Ginger is putting together one hell of a show. And for all the money raised, Miss Ginger will "roundup" to the nearest thousand. So the Mistress thought if any of us, our readers, and our admirers have any loose change lying around why not take it to a change machine, get the cash, and send it to Miss Ginger to help such a worthy cause. Some of the coins in your couch can really add up! Miss Ginger's Roundup will be held on June 7th at 3:00PM at Brazos River Bottom in Houston. So if you live in or near Houston go support this hard working diva and her crew. Donations can be sent to Miss Ginger's Roundup, c/o Sonna Alton, Legacy Community Health Services, 1116 Jackson Avenue, Houston Texas 77006. Lets all give anything to help out our girl Miss G! And be sure to check out her entertaining blog The Fabulous Blog of Miss Ginger Grant for more details. Have a wonderful show girl!!!

Tag! The Mistress is It

I have been chosen by the beautiful and fabulous Miss Ginger Grant to receive the Honest Blogger Award. Thanks you so much Miss Ginger!!! If you haven't read her blog yet or even met Miss G yet, check out her funny blog. I will have the privilege to meet her at the end of the month in New York City. Miss Thing is always up to something and has the Mistress in stitches with some of her stories! And you can't forget her Style Sessions! Her blog The Fabulous Blog of Miss Ginger Grant is worth checking out, the Mistress says so! Now, Ladies and Germs on to my list.

1- The Mistress is right now a visual stylist by trade. But my original background and degree is in Interior Design. Before that, I really at one time wanted to be a archaeologist. Finding and studying ancient artifacts and bones always fascinated me to no end.

2-The Mistress loves all music. But most of my friends are shocked when I tell them I LOVE classical ,opera and jazz! Yes people, the Mistress doesn't like just house music.

3- While I don't mind heights, and have a gift certificate to go up in a hot air balloon ride to schedule, I HATE driving over really, really high bridges! Can't do it. I will pull off the road first and make my passenger drive over it.Talk about getting white knuckles.

4-Speaking of fears- I am deathly afraid of toads, frogs and ventriloquist dolls. I would hyper-ventilate if I was trapped in a room with any of these things. I can't even look at a picture of ventriloquist dolls without panicking. And someone once threw a toad at me in a pool at our friend's house the Ranch and have hated toads and frogs ever since!

5-My favorite animal is the peacock. They are so beautiful and regal. When we eventually have a house I swear the Mistress will have one as a pet. And when she gives gifts there is always a trade mark peacock feather on everything the Mistress gives.

6- The Mistress was a minx! Up till she met the Boy-Toy she was right there with Samantha Wells. I loved men and more men! She went through them like tissues. When she finally met the Boy-toy everyone said to him good luck with that one! Well, he did tame me as much as he could. There will always be some minx left.

7-My name. Mistress came about when I dated and went out with guys unaware they had other halves. So I became a "mistress" several times. Borghese. That was the cosmetics line a used when I did drag back then. And Maddie for Madeline, I have no idea, but it stuck. Mistress Madeline Borghese!

8- I'm a huge exhibitionist. Now mind ya, I don't have the body of a model, but I don't have any complaints either. I have no problem getting naked and have even been known to pull out the family jewels!!! And I, by no means am a nudist, but I think nudity is a natural thing.

9-I one time sent Joan Rivers flowers. She was in Harrisburg for a comedy tour and was staying in a hotel my friend worked at. I had read her book out at the time and was moved by her life and the passing of her husband. My friend made sure she personally got the flowers. And she gave him a thank you note back. It was awesome.

10- I love underwear. I love calvins, cing, ginches and 2xist. I love the styles of them and probably have more than I will ever wear. Every time I go shopping, I'm like a little old lady and buy another pair. And no comment from you Boy-Toy!

So there you have ten things about me. Thank you again Miss G and I hope it wasn't a TMI moment! It was fun to do. Tootles!
