This post comes at a good moment. While reading blogs today, I came across Travel Penguins blog where he asked, "What do you take pictures of?" Everything! I recently got out and about in Philly for a gathering and it felt wonderful to get out and about after being holed up from the pandemic. It's like a whole new I'm Coming Out! It felt wonderful to be back in the city again. Whether with people or not, I can always entertain myself and explore. It was a rather melancholic moment. I sometimes miss living in a cosmopolitan city environ, where the sense of community is strong, everything is at your fingertips and no need to drive anywhere. And Philly is a very walkable city. And heavens know I love walking. But at my middle years, I don't know I'd want to live in the city again. As a very social and visual person, I fear my mind would burn out. When I'm in New York City especially, my mind goes into visual overload, and I arrive home burnt out mentally. I am one to take it all in and soak it up. When living in the city atmosphere before, I recall someone always wanting to do something, so I had no time to myself. Yes, these days my life seems to have gone the Lisa Douglas way. But here is what I took pictures of that day. So many different neighborhoods in the city.
