  1. I used to watch Alice on Sunday evenings back in the early 1980s. Never missed it.

  3. I always loved that she sang the theme to the show. When I was young with little ones, I watched “Alice” and also when it went into syndication, watched every episode. One of my favorite shows. The entire cast worked great together. Made people feel like they were right there. I miss those shows from back in the day.

    1. None of the actors ever did much in the way of a huge rooster of work...yet they were all gold together all those years the show ran.

  12. I remember Linda Lavin and Alice but I just watched those opening credits and realized I don't recall Diane Ladd being on the show. What happened to the actress whose big line was kiss my grits? I have to look her up.

    Love,
    Janie

Great comedy show, it hit home with a storyline about a single parent.
    Lavin was Alice.
