Happy Last Monday of the Year, and it's Mood Boards!!!!
Another year of Monday Bitch-festering has come and gone. But not much to complain about on this one...Another two-day work week, and Warbucks is still here till after the New Years Day. He and the Mother have gotten along fabulously, if not for some good, fun, old fashioned sparring. I have been cooking dinner most nights, and Warbucks took us and the Duo out of a lovely dinner one night. He saw just about all five sites in Harrisburg before we hit the happy hour Saturday night. The year, let's say, is ending an a few good bangs. More soon....
The first President I can really remember clearly in my youth. And I surmise the last down to earth, honest, states men and humanitarian, and one of the biggest advocates for peace. Presidents since should be as lucky to be as beloved as President Carter. Many lessons and things to be learned from listening to Carter. Now he's with his beloved wife.
" We cannot be both the world's leading champion of peace and the world's leading supplier of weapons of war."
"We know that a peaceful world cannot long exist one third rich and two thirds hungry."
"If you don't want your tax dollars to help the poor. then stop saying you want a country based on Christian values, because you don't."
President James Earl Carter Jr.

The Mistress knew I had to get one last Candy Shop in for the year. And kids, did I save some of the best for last! This Greek God is Sam Vass. A fitness guru and cake server! Of course, research enough and you'll find the naughtier side to Sam Vass. He has me quivering in all the right places. Who are you Sam Vass? You have slipped into my life, as easily as vermouth into a glass of my gin, quickly and just a bit too smooth.
In this feature, I'll share a weekly guest with you all,
and you tell me in only three words what comes to mind.
In Three Words...

One of my favorite days of the year, Christmas Eve. There is just something about this day, a calmness of sorts, That I love. This year just about all the decorations are family heirlooms, or decorations I remember us using when I was a wee one, or bits and bobs that were gifted to me. Shiny-Brites, Christmas Pyramids, Swedish chimes, bottle brush trees, and many items bringing about memories of my grandmothers. Tonight, we'll enjoy a dinner of crab imperial. Followed by later in the night the family recipe of egg nog, lighting of the Christmas pyramids, and settle in the watch a Christmas Carol.
It's not about the gift giving, let's remember. Enjoy time with family or friends, enjoying the company of loved ones, good food, and wonderful spirits!!! The scents and smells of the Christmas holiday. May you all have a magical, wonderful, and memorable Christmas. Thank you all, longtime friends, new readers, reader out there in the dark, thank you for your constant kind and funny words and for visiting the Casa du Borghese- truly grateful for all our online friendships. To all of us everywhere, a Happy Christmas to us all my dears.
"L🎄VE & J🎄Y TO All!
