Summer's last gasp?!?!?
It appears we are in the last gasp and breaths of summer. with 5 days left. I'm by far a summer person. Contrary to popular belief that is not me in the first picture but would totally do that!!!While all the seasons we have here are beautiful and so different in their own rights. Give me the sun, heat and humidity of summer anytime, 24/7 if I could. I love summer, the mountains, the beach, the smell of the ocean, grilling outdoors, blueberry ice cream, Pimm's Cups, nearly naked boys, NAKED boys, laying in the sun, gardening, outdoor showers, seeing a guy ass clad in a tight square cut, wearing short shorts, snoozes out on the chaise lounge, and the sound of the crickets, and Katydid's having their night orchestra, while I lie in bed at night drifting off to sleep. And this summer was another great one for me, but ahead means some more travel, and meeting new friends....upward and onward....
What do you miss about summer when it's gone???
Naked (or almost naked) bodies.
ReplyDeleteNaked! Do you see naked there? I only ever see those god awful clothing combinations there!!! Well, there was that side of beef you featured recently...and your very adorable, very SINGLE blond friend. hint hint hint hint.......you still have my address right?
DeleteMaddie:
DeleteOh, I see A LOT of nearly naked men around and many are very nice to look at (or even touch it), but I don't want to look like a perv with my camera, so I miss many opportunities. YOU would not.
What do you miss about summer when it's gone??? men less clothered!
ReplyDeleteSomething we can all agree on I'm sure!
DeleteI’m sensing a theme here, but I just can’t put my finger (hand, tongue, lips, etc.) on it. 😜
ReplyDeleteHuntleyBiGuy: that’s me btw. Blogger still refuses to recognize me for comments.
DeleteScrew them......I will acknowledge you...and your hands, tongue or lips.😈
DeleteSnug bathing suits getting more snug ... if you get my meaning.
ReplyDeleteOh yes..... who doesn't like seeing a full VPL!!!!
DeleteSummer = flowers galore. Spring is good for that too. In autumn the flowers and leaves fade away while winter means hunting out specialist flowers like Abeliophyllum distichum and Salvia tubergeniana, the earliest flowering bluebell I know.
ReplyDeleteScilla? Jx
DeleteOh yes Helen I can agree. We know many of us enjoy our summer gardens. You should check my sideboard out sometime and head over to Madam Acardi's blog to see his and Jons handy work... in their back passages.
DeleteJon you are right; I had a brain fart there (general anaesthetic?) I thought I'd corrected it!
DeleteI don't think you'd like the British Summer!! British nakedness is either pasty white or lobster red - thank goodness for fake tan orange!
ReplyDeleteSx
Fake tan Orange? Is that where Trump gets that color?
DeleteAll the things.... Just ALL the things about Summer. I'm sad we're entering Fall.
ReplyDeleteI get sad when summer ends, but then once we're in Autumn I enjoy it. At least here our Autumn is like an explosion of color.
DeleteI'm not a summer person anymore. I prefer fall and spring.
ReplyDeleteFall weather has uncharacteristically arrived where I'm at. I'm not complaining. It's just weird seeing trees shed their leaves two months earlier than normal.
ReplyDeleteOurs have neither shed leaves or started to change color yet here, even in the Poconos. Leaves just start turning this time in the Poconos and they haven't yet.
DeleteYou had me at that first picture that is fabulous! I too I'm a summer person even though I love fall, I still like some of the best. And I love just being able to wear shorts on walks and while running while running. There's nothing wrong with seeing male skin.
ReplyDeleteI see some nice male flesh on my nighty walks in the park. Some of these boys......
DeleteI love Spring, summer AND sailors*!
ReplyDeleteJx
*like the ones in that final pic
Get the wooden nickel s ready!!!!
DeleteOh this is a lovely mood board. And I just adore the beach, hence why I sold the big house and half of what's in it. I should finally be in my new house in Slaughter Beach by the end of the month. Now the jury is still out on how I'll cope with the weather here at the beach . We shall see .
ReplyDeleteI'll be so glad that I can get back to reading blogs on a regular basis. And Maddie, that man with his torso exposed and chest out that's not you is it? My heavens if it is!
So glad you are doing good. I think the beach locale will be a wonderful change for you. Im jealous!
DeleteI'm looking very forward, and now excited of getting rid of this huge house. A new start. Time to move on from the memories. And my buyers will be good stewards for the house.
DeleteTundra Bunny here...
ReplyDeleteAlthough summer is my least favourite season, I'll miss the longer daylight hours, flowers, and fresh garden produce! Luv your mood board today, Maddie, especially all the soothing blues -- I'd so love to drift around in crystal clear water with those flamingo floaties. Your sea urchins photo is fantastic too! Are the last four sailors identical brothers? Good-looking to the Nth degree, they are!
And I was so worried you'd have six feet of snow by now!!!! If you need those sailors...let me know.
DeleteI actually like Spring more than Summer, but summer has teh menz in few clothes, so there's that.
ReplyDeleteI love this mood board, btw.
That marine theme....
XOXO
I need that blue and white striped Speedo. Maybe next year I'd wear that with the sailor hat!
DeleteLove that guy in the striped speedo!!!! I think for me I miss the time change and the getting dark early. HATE IT! And I love the watermelon! But look forward to the fall colors.
ReplyDeleteI love that Speedo too. I researched that but now I forget who the retailer was.
