HEY NORWALK!

The Mistress is getting ready to enter another 50 hour work week. No rest for the weary I tell you. Upon getting back from our DC store to help ready for a visit, it was time to do the store Christmas trim at my own store and that of King Of Prussia. Since then,  I have been in Norwalk CT, opening a new opulent store. It s a ton of work, since when the store manager gets the keys, we are walking into basically, four walls. Granted, visual teams and merch teams from the whole company are here, but's it's still a gargantuan job to have it all  treated, unpacked, and set before a opening in November of all times!!!! The store opened last Thursday to much fanfare and a huge success. I'll be here till midweek now as after support to work with the visual staff on the daily going ons.Our branch of the company is having another good year...seems the luxury brands are not hurting, unlike our parent company. Our costumers want quality and service. Luckily. I know I do. While I have been exhausted, I can't complain of the hotel , very nice, and it's been swell seeing company family we haven't seen in ages. And the paychecks have been very kind.  Here's some projects I worked on from the last two weeks.
The men's fashion mannequins.

Women's fashion.

Broke my heart to paint this cute giraffe, but it turned out great!
One of many themed holiday gifting giving shops
A children's display
Some of the hotties working on the flooring!!!!
One of my area when I got there!!!!
And the finished handbag department with treatments.
The sunglass area turned out great!
The shoes salon!
Cosmetics! So stunning and opulent.
Mistress treatment of the Parker shop
Models from the opening fashion show
Yesterday I and a another stylist went out and explored the town and was pleasantly surprised by how much this little town had to offer.  Norwalk is a city located in southwestern Connecticut, in southern Fairfield County, on the northern shore of Long Island Sound. Norwalk lies within both the New York metropolitan area by half an hour,  as well as the Bridgeport metropolitan area. Norwalk was settled in 1649, and is the sixth most populous city in Connecticut. Jacob my roomie suggested exploring the town. It is making a huge come back, and offered many eateries, galleries and pubs, and had a nice fashionable and I dare say in spot a nice hipster crowd.
Leave it to the Mistress to find a nightly watering hole...
And a nice bar with dance floor. When it comes to those two things, I'm like a bloodhound tootes.
While it's been a nice change of weekly pace,  and fun, I can't lie..it will be nice to get back in my own bed. I also have to look forward to decorating three private homes for the holidays. Now' where's that darn gin???

  1. Judging by the second picture, it looks like Darth Vader has let women join the Imperial Stormtroopers. I always knew he was a progressive at heart.

  3. I've been to Norwalk and was surprised by how cute of a town it was. Your newest store is quite amazing looking, and your work as always is chic. All the accounts I have in your stores and Bergdorf's and Saks is great. Every time Im in those store the crowds are robust.

  11. As a huge sunglass connoisseur I would and have gotten into trouble with them and this department is calling my name! You know what your doing that's for sure. The store does indeed look very welcoming and yes I shop for the service and will pay the cost. It beats going to a store where associates are talking, or one has to search out help. Say what you may about high end retailers, but they do give service. And quality. I too love that giraffe and elephant, a touch a whimsy.

  13. My gosh you’re good at what you do. And an eye for the tradesmen 😎. You’re going to run yourself ragged with the travel and the personal decorating. It’s good you enjoy your work. And you deserve the gin.

It was a gay bar you found? The men far out weight the women in the pictures.

And to tell you the truth, I find the guys doing the floors much more attractive than the guys doing the runway....

Hope you chair danced a little in that cool bar!
