CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK

Well, hell, that weekend flew by!!!!! I sure hope everyone enjoyed the weekend? Mine was a whirlwind and barely remember much of it, thanks in part to the Capital Street Duo's Christmas Party Friday night. And the poor Mistress was then told after having many libations and shots, that I would have to get up at 5am to get ready for a excursion to New York!!!!!! Well dear readers, I did indeed make it...and we had a lovely time just seeing where the day took us. New York was certainly festive and put us in the mood of the holiday. Instead of the usual Monday post, I thought I'd share some of the pictures I took.

New York Public Library

Rockefeller Center

St Patrick's Cathedral

We got a chuckle out of this guy.

And at Dump Tower, there was a huge line to get a selfie in front with people giving the middle finger.

I love me some Henri Bendel's, and got my shopping wrapped.
View from floor 6 at H&M

The fountain across from Bergdorf Goodman.

Beautiful lobby of one of the hotels.

Grand Central Station

Bryant Park

And of course Lady Bunny...spreading holiday cheer from the windows of the Monster.

Probably a good pose for her too, to hide that double chin. We all know she hasn't missed a meal since Thanksgiving.

  1. That glass skyscraper behind the cathedral offers an interesting contrast.

Looks like Lady Bunny's eyes are closed.

  8. Fantastic photos - it's difficult to choose a favorite. I love St. Patrick's Cathedral...and the wreath around the lion's neck. I immediately recognized the lion because I've been to that library numerous times (long ago).

  20. That is definitely one reason to miss the US. I haven't been to New York in ages. New York would always be a sure fire way to get one in the holiday mood. Love the Bendels Windows.

  21. I would love to see the Rockefeller Tree and Bryant Park tree someday in person. Hell. I 'd like Christmas just once on the east coast one year.

  22. Uh oh... No response from Lady Bunny? You're in big trouble. Great photos. I feel like I was there. My sister used to skate at Rockefeller Center -- just to say she did; her favorite skating place was Wollman Rink in Central Park. Thanks for your photo journals. You enjoy NYC the way I always wish I could when I'm there.

  23. Wonderful New York photos! However, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the ice frozen around that fountain (under the gorgeous Christmas tree photo) makes it look like a load of drunken snowmen, slumped against it and weeing into the pool!
