omg, had to take a selfie!!!!!
I can't tell you how nice it is to have last week behind me!!!!!! It is probably the busiest week for me all year. The store is now officially trimmed for the holidays, and the food drive I spear headed was a huge success, 65 families fed, with bird, and then my very quick trip home for the holiday. Now I have four houses to decorate for the holidays and then it's all down hill chickadees! Seen this holiday....... Finally wore my new trousers and cashmere turtleneck for dinner....loving my cashmere this year , and finally broke in those new brogues....
Thanksgiving morning found the Redheaded Woodpecker first that morning....
On Tuesday of last week, we headed to the school and we set up the food items for the families to par take of. We had plenty of food, so all the families could have a full course meal! And loved what the children did with the fun posters they created.
then Thursday morning very early, it was off to the ancestral home to partake of a delish dinner at my aunt and uncles with the family. Some of the lovely homes in their hood......
My good friend the Dame Courtney came to the rescue and pulled together a stunning arrangement for me and had it delivered to their home for me as a thanksgiving gift. Is this not stunning!?!?!?
The most adorable moment of the holiday had to be their new dog, a Ridgeback named Lillith. Lillith would NOT leave sight of the stove, till the bird came out......
about an hour in......
at two and half hours in.....
three hours in.....
and the final hour......
when it did come out..... she was very relived, as were we all!!!!!!
And for all this, is why I'm truly thankful.
That Lillith is way to dare cute!!!!!! And the bird beats the grub I had. But inquiring minds want to know, was their a wishbone in your pocket or were you just glad to see us?

ReplyDeleteAfter diligently guarding the turkey, did Lillith get a sample or two?

So kidnapping that dog! Who designs the trousers you have one? I have been looking for a pair just like that? The flowers or gorgeous, love the mixture of varieties.
ReplyDeleteThe trousers are fitted trousers from Ted Baker, a British designer.
