It seems that I am now back into the full swing of things with the job, and have been very busy with fall designer shop installations. This past week was extremely busy with some floor moves, and the start of changing our fashion into early winter clothing and some glitz and shine for the holidays. Next week will bring our holiday kick off meeting in New York. Some photos to come shortly with what I've been working on lately this week. It then occurred to me I have never shared the behind the scenes of the store. Just some of the snaps of sites behind the closed doors....
Part of the visual workshop...filled to the brim...
box of various chandeliers....
Some of the various mannequins....
some men's mannequins.....
Here is what the above men mannequins looked like dressed.....
Golden opera chairs....
not even the tip of the iceberg of the Christmas trim....
who doesn't like disco balls......
Greek goddess busts.....
really big balls...
tons of apothecary jars and glass trays.....
The mannequins - they move around at night don't they.......?
ReplyDeleteI have always wondered about the behind the scenes. I must have those Greek busts of those goddess!
ReplyDeletejust how I like my men.....hard.
ReplyDeleteWe rolled out our new Fall collection this week. Monday & Tuesday... 5a-2p shifts both days. I am the GM, but I enjoy getting down and dirty every now and then. The visual pieces were so involved. BRING ON THE HOLIDAYS!!!
ReplyDeleteBite your tongue, I'm ready for spring again. Fortunately for me its strictly visual.
DeleteWhere ever does Magada get her brows done? They perfect. You certainly have the resources there. Very cool to see all the stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou must have the most fun at your job. So creative, and playing with all that stuff and designer clothing. I should look into this for a life change
ReplyDeleteSo that's where all the magic is stored!!!!! The men mannequins look VERY BUFF. They looked great dressed, loving the outfits for them.
ReplyDeleteI bet when the store's closed and the lights are off, those mannequins come alive and just have a gay old time!
ReplyDeleteThat may explain the glitter and confetti.
Deletei'll have to dig out the old photo of a window i did in harvard square many years ago. slightly rude, it was my very first window ever & the store got a unhappy letter about it! i was thrilled! i felt like babs johnson!
ReplyDeleteNow that I would love to see. What a great story. But I'm wondering how you incorporated a dildo into it.
DeleteI understand the mistress woke up naked in her glory in a display window after a all night bender.
Deleteare the male mannequins striking a "daisy chain" pose? ;-b
ReplyDeletethanks for taking us "behind the scenes"!
I wonder if we will ever get to see his "behind" the scene?
DeleteI always wondered about the magic behind the scenes. There is so cool stuff in there.........
ReplyDeleteI agree with AM about the Daisy Chain Mannequins!
ReplyDeleteBut what a place to get lost in, eh?
So cool, an area us general public often would wonder about.
ReplyDeleteI heard the rumors about you and those male mannequins in the storage areas.
ReplyDeleteYou got me confused with the warped minds of Norma and Cali Boi.
DeleteI can only imagine it must be like a treasure trove behind the scenes. I am LOVING the golden opera chairs.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if the males are anatomically correct? The asses look very muscular............
ReplyDeleteMy god your job must be most fun and interesting!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! If there is a yard sale let me know.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! I have wonder how much things stores accumulate and we use. That would make for a very fun yard sale.
