a view from our host's lovely home
Yes, yes, yes, the Mistress is back, but it may be a couple days till I'm back to posting on a regular basis, as I have guest coming for the weekend. Yours truly is back from Provincetown followed by another weekend in the Pocono Mountains. Yes, I would admit to not knowing if I was coming or going for a while there. Provincetown is always a favorite of mine. There isn't nothing or no where like the ocean and beaches for true relaxing for me. On this trip the clan and I were 9 in our host's lovely home. I do believe they like to see us running around half dressed and following our antics. There were of course the happy hours, and night out, and our famous late night skinny's in the ocean, but for this post this time, I wanted to share the amazing whale watch we went on!!!
the mistress's yacht...yeah , right!
Over the last several decades whale watching has become an amazing form of entertainment for millions of people all over the world who want to get a glimpse of the amazing majestic creatures we all know and love as whales. And Provincetown has plenty of whales to be seen in the ocean there. We used a wonderful company and the tickets were very reasonable. What was nice is 100% of the price covers the costs of the boat that they charter - fuel and travel. and they don't make ANY money - in fact I was told they lose money on each trip. This is about the whales and trying to show people the amazing beauty of these fantastic animals. Greater awareness = greater success in saving them and growing their populations. We went on one last year, but it was earlier then this year, so we were there in the prime time this summer!!!!!!
Unfortunately before going I had a few nips, and wasn't as fast with my camera when they would breech, catching mostly tails......
But my ever talented friend Preston, got some phenomenal shots, so he was kind enough to share some....
Preston does photography for a living, so he was much faster then I !!!It was truly an amazing experience and the best whale watch of all the years I've been going!!! You must simply say YES if you ever get offered a trip. And contrary to popular belief, the Mistress did not get caught with the captain in a shocking move, Ms. Moorecock did not fall over board, the Lad and I did not split the bed in half...intentionally, but Preston did indeed get his nipple on his massive pec re-pierced again!!!!
Now you didn't think I'd spill the beans of goings on with 11 gay guys in one house did you??? What goes on in the house, stays in the house!!!!!
Of course I was also able to visit one of my readers and good friends, the hilarious Pearly Gates!!!! She totally got drank under the table. What a hand full she is!!!!
Of course we was did many walks, went to the parade for the Carnival Week and spent time of the beach.....
On the last night was our annual seafood bake that our host have for us on their deck and one of my favorite meals while there. That's a lot of gams!!!!!
But just because I'm back this doesn't mean summer is over for me by a long shot. It isn't over til the fat lady sings!!!!!!
A special thanks to my wonderful hosts for opening their home, the various lounges and clubs for waving covers, and your hospitality, and Captain Red for the stunning boat cruise with all the extras. Another enjoyable trip from the good people of P-Town.
AMAZING,and another great installment!!! Me and my gay peeps couldn't go this summer, no room at the inns, but have already booked for next summer! I can't wait to go, and be sure we will go whaling!!!!! You sure did live ay the banquet this summer!
ReplyDeleteYes, the inns do fill up rather quick I'm afraid! Thank you Empress!

DeleteAll in all, a very pleasant trip, even if I did have to lug 6 suitcases up those long windings stairs. And so nice to see other blowholes besides those of the casas'.
ReplyDeleteBut what a nice blow hole it is , so I hear.
DeleteMistress, what a simply amazing trip!!!! William and I did a whale watch with friends of ours on their boat a couples of years back, no words can explain the excitement of it. The Cape is really quite a favorite of ours to visit every summer also. But after viewing that one picture of you young things, if only this old broad was years younger.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me that I need to reserve my whale watching tour. But first I must look for my parka.
ReplyDeleteAnd perhaps one day I'll join you in P town. But let's surprise them. LOL
surprise them? the town will never have enough liquor if you both show up unannounced.
DeleteYou and I in Provincetown? Our luck we end up in a John Waters film! He lives there part time you know.
DeleteHe has a home in SF as well...
Deletewhich pair of legs were yours?
ReplyDeleteand how many gin bottles bit the dust whilst you were there?
How many bottles? Who has time for a rousing 99 bottles of gin on the wall............
DeleteIs 99 enough?
DeleteSounds like a wonderful time! And don't apologize for only catching tails. Isn't that your speciality?
