The Voice of Winehouse-Gone

Kailyne just brought to the Mistress's attention Amy Winehouse has died. Oh how I LOVED that voice. That voice and that beehive....and that voice. Rest in peace Miss Winehouse.

  2. It's a shock and yet not a shock all at the same time. Booze and drugs have destroyed another great talent. RIP, Amy Winehouse.

  4. Artists like Amy and Kurt and Janice and Jimi were the real deal. They had genuine emotion and revealed layers of themselves to their lucky public. (A far cry from some of the pop tarts out there who are phony in every way.)

What a talent, gone much too soon

  5. Not surprised. Maybe people will wake up and understand that talent does not require drugs; it just puts it to an early end. RIP

  6. I was not a fan, but 27, what a waste. May she find the peace now that she seems to never have had in life

  7. Sad when great talent is lost to drug/alcohol abuse. The first person I thought of when reading this headline was Jim Morrison. Makes one wonder what these artists may have contributed to the music world if their lives were not cut short by their weaknesses to substance abuse. Very Sad. condolences to Ms. Winehouse's family

  9. Wow, who did not see the Winehouse Express roaring down the tracks, heading to the washed out bridge that spans the 600 foot deep gourge?

Anyone with a clue could see that happen. What a voice she had.

  10. She certainly went out of her way trying to kill herself over and over, this time she figured it out, can't help somebody who has no regard for their life

  11. I enjoyed her singing style and voice. She had the talent. She could have gone on to great things but like many in the lime-light and fame do not do well and turn to drugs and alcohol to cope. Fame does have it's price

  15. Sadly, this was only a matter of time; addiction is a ravenous fucker. Another member of the 27 Club...PEACE for her at last.

  16. So sad that she couldn't get the help she needed. Alcholism/drug addiction is absolutely brutal, not everyone makes it. I was really looking forward to her third cd.

Very sad/quite tragic. She did make an indelible impression in a very short time... May her spirit find the peace and joy that eluded her in life.
