KAILYNE ARIVES....SWEETIE DARLINGS

My good friend Kailyn will be arriving later tonight from San Francisco to the Casa Du Borghese for a four day stay. She hit Downtown Philadelphia yesterday, and I hear is already drinking the city dry, and met Buster Bolfig and the ex at the city house. I sure hope she doesn't corrupt the poor pooch. I actually met Kailyn through blogging, my good friend and sister, Mame, AKA, David Dust's blog to be exact, and then she started reading mine. We met up with her in NYC, and after supporting the arts for the go-go boys and a tanker of gin, and then some, it was inevitable we were to become good friends, and have been good friends ever since, five years ago now!!!! Needless to say I'll be showing her around, with lots of cock-a-tails things to do and see. This will pretty much sum it up........

 

Those that knows us will tell you we are most definitely Pasty and Edina. You may even recall my good friend Mame even gave a warning system to the Napa Valley when Kailyn and I went wine tasting for an afternoon at various wineries!!!!! I worry for this visit...if I have enough gin on hand, because Kailyn can't get the stuff down her gullet quick enough.  So....I'll return next week after the visit and all hang overs have subsided.

My......Monday Already?

Monday again. I could swear someone changes the time so it passes more quickly on the weekends! Hope everyone had a good one? I had a sinfully fun, but relaxing time, even though the Lad was here for the weekend, which always tends to, errr, make my heart race! Sunday was spent mostly in the boudiour, huh... yes. Beautiful Joanna Lumley

I have no idea why the beautiful Joanna Lumley is subject to a post, but she popped in my head for some reason. Like Pasty it may have been a drunken haze. Most of us know her and her image above from Absolutely Fabulous.But did you know the tall, cool, blonde, JOANNA LUMLEY cut her chops before the camera as both a model and a Bond girl in 1969, she had two lines as “The English Girl” in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service — but it’s her hilarious turn as the boozy, self-absorbed Patsy Stone on television’s Absolutely Fabulous with which she will always be joyfully associated. Blessed with a gift for physical comedy on par with Lucille Ball’s, Lumley’s Patsy clambers over airport luggage conveyor belts and slides down stairwells, dressed to the 9th degree in short-skirted 1990s power slut fashion and a towering up-do that recalls late-period Ivana Trump. But this actress is also a classically trained actress and appears in many productions of the English stage. But no denying she is stunning and very beautiful. Here's more of her beauty........

Lacroix- Sweetie Darling- Lacroix

Christian Lacroix is to close it's doors. His two biggest fans ,Patsy and Edina of Absolutely Fabulous neatly summed up the whole problem. There just isn't enough Beluga eating, stunningly beautiful, moneyed women with fashion sense in the world to keep Lacroix's fantasy alive!



The French house Christain Lacroix is going belly up and declared bankruptcy in Paris last Thursday. It looks like Lacroix is history. It seems the problem is that Lacroix designed couture that could hold their own in the VCA, but couldn't get the tills ringing. Even after he designed a ready to wear line. His clothing , which fused Spanish matador with gypsy fringing, splashes of 18th century corsetry, and bright psychedelia were never conductive in women's wardrobes. While his brilliance is unquestionable, his grip on reality is less certain. The Mistress loved herself a little Lacroix and will miss his designs. If your reading Mr. Lacroix, the Mistress would love to have you on board as my personal dress maker. Free dinners included for pay!
