PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA PRIDE

The Philadelphia Orchestra is proud to say, despite of DOGE cuts, they are putting on for the fifth year in a row the annual FREE Pride Concert on June 30th. While everyone will miss Martha Graham Cracker who sadly passed on this week, more on that in the previous post, this year it will be hosted by Trixie Mattel, alongside conductor Carolyn Kuan and Yannick Nezet Seguin, the ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir, Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus, Voice of Pride, and cast members of the traveling production of The Notebook.  The concert will include works by Berstein, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Bach, Lady Gaga, and Madonna. So, if you get to Philly for Pride you might want to check this concert out... tickets are free but required...so it's first come first serve...and they are going fast.

Happy Gay Pride!

**UPDATE**.....SOLD OUT!

  3. Too bad PBS isn't broadcasting it -- or at least recording it for later airing!

    1. Philadelphia is always rated very highly on the globe with one of the best symphonies. I've seen some of their concerts where they do the classics and then they'll take popular artists with a classic slant to it. They're phenomenal. I can only imagine what they'll do with Madonna and Lady Gaga songs.

    1. And I think it's great they do a free concert. Think of all the people who would like to see the symphony but didn't want to pay now they can go see them. Philly has one hell of a good Orchestra, and Yannick is phenomenal has conductor.

    1. Philly's breaking out all the stops this year for their pride drag show on the main stage. It's going to be virtually a who's who in Drag, including the premier drag queen herself Patti LaBelle!

  8. Elon is gone from government, yet DOGE continues to have its detrimental effect. I'd like to know how many 115 year old dead people they discovered who were receiving Social Security checks, but I already know the answer. Zero Zip Nada. Harry Butts hasn't continues to talk about it because it was a lie as big as his cankles.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. And those are some pretty big saggy cankles. Regardless of their cuts they will not rain on our parade!
