MOOD BOARD

Calmness is not just a state of mind; it is a skill that can transform your life. It enhances decision making, improves emotional intelligence, and boosts resilience. By cultivating calmness, you can navigate life with clarity and purpose, leading to better health, stronger relationships, and greater success in both personal and professional spheres. Of course, a good snowstorm and deep blankets of white would make for a nice calm too. And stay calm...it's Monday......

Happy Monday All

  1. Happy Monday, Mads. I think I'll stay calm by working on stuff the editor sent, then reading.

  2. Can the bearded guy in the argyle sweater come stay at my house. That would be calming, in a way!

    1. I feel in love with that sweater. I did a google search on it and found it and ordered it. Unfortunately, the bearded hunk doesn't come with it damn it.

    2. Oh I may have to Google the sweater ... if not the man!!!

  6. The white budgie at the mirror...calming. The Arrow Collar Man by J.C. Leyendecker...stimulating. I had a grouping of 9 of his illustration on my wall for many years. He defined the man of style in the 20s and 30s, always with a touch of homoerotica. If I didn't have to live in this timeline, I would have enjoyed being a man in that time period, with the same financial resources of course. Leyendecker lived with his frequent model, Charles A. Beach for most of his adult life (1903-1951) from Wikipedia.

    1. I agree with you Milleson. I too think I was left behind from another time, and should be living in that time as well. Just for the dandy dressing alone. I can imagine that collage of 9 illustrations of J.C. Leyendecker was very handsome. I have a collection of Rene Gruau's works I had hanging in my gallery hallway that I loved.

  7. Calm! That is one thing about my move that I liked. Being here shoreside has been very calming. What a mood board this week. You know I adore the crushed velvet sofa and that room. I spent my weekend taking f=down the few Christmases decorations. I admit, I'm not opposed to some snow.

  10. I trust your weekend was a good one? I love calm, and it's one reason I enjoy your Monday Post and blog in general. It's always a fun stop and takes the mind off the news and nightmare we live in. And to enjoy visual delights. Even if it's a brief couple of minutes. The animals stole the show today. Course I wouldn't pass up one of those desserts.

  14. Wouldn't it be lovely (and calming) to live in one of those "Gingerbread" houses along a canal in Amsterdam? Had to laugh at all to little blue birds huddled together on a branch and the white budgie (parakeet?) finding a friend in the mirror too.

  17. When I started to pull up your blog and didn't see it clearly, I thought the first photo was of a large white tooth with an indentation in the middle. I was relieved to find it was a bird with a mirror. I will be much more calm when we get rid of some (even better would be all) of these motherfucking Republicans.

    Love,
