STOP THE CAR

Yay!!! Finally.  About a week ago Biden announced a 20% tax on the wealthiest!!!! But Boooo. One or two dumb shits...read that as, yes... Joe Manchin and Sinema kill it 1 day later. Funny how Biden was sold by media to voters as the bipartisan guy who could bring the Dems and GOP together, yet he can't seem to bring his own party together to pass popular issues like finally taxing the wealthy. Also since Manchin is the fucking biggest pain in the ass of the party, so awful and conservative, I wonder why Dem's backed him in WV instead of his progressive challenger, Paula Jean Swearingen? She wouldn't have voted against the few progressive items in Biden agenda like this proposed tax. We can't win. Who needs Republicans with Dems like Manchin and Sinema? Next time these two are up Dems need to find challengers to knock them both out.

But on the flip side, Biden needs to stop adding more sanctions on Russia in my opinion. Russia and Putin don't seem to mind one bit that they are slowly being cut off from many aspects from the rest of the world. After seeing the news tonight and the latest graphic pictures coming out of the Ukraine, the killing, grisly killing and the widespread destruction is saddening and angering. While I don't condone war, I'm so outraged at what I'm seeing, what's the purpose of NATO, with 30 countries if it is sitting on their ass? I think they should just all go in and just level Russia, Putin and the oligarchs and be done with. If a lesson is learned, you should always cut the serpents head off and be done with it.

I'm beyond frustrated with much, and will never understand why it takes so long to remove and jail criminals? Or just take them out. I said once, I don't have patience.

You bring up excellent points regarding Ukraine. My heart aches when I see those images. I am not for war, but innocent lives are being taken and the NATO countries need to stop talking and do something. The sanctions were too little, too late to me. I am not very political, but I am sensitive to helping those innocent victims.

    1. I don't like war either for many reasons....but it is time for NATO to shit or get off the pot. The Russians are at this point, just brutally murdering Ukrainians now. The thought and prayers signs and # bullshit are nice, but I think the Ukraine needs more than thoughts and prayers.

This is what happens when your campaign in based on "at least Im not Trump." Well...there's that.

  3. I'm to the point where I feel the 2 party system is bad for Americans. Neither seem to care about anything except what goes in their pocket. What's the point of two parties??? Unless either party has all three branches, going forward, nothing will ever get done. With both of your parties it's either our way or the highway. Unless there is any bipartisan politicians and not those of far right and left views, which it seems to be, how will anything in the States ever get accomplished????

  4. Don't look to me to pity the Dems. I said the Dems should have backed Manchin's challenger.

And agreed about the Ukraine war and NATO. Are we waiting till Putin pushes a button and wipes out three or four countries?!?!?!?!?!?!?! He's a billionaire...the sanctions will hit his citizens before he gives a shit.

  5. Sanction them to hell, and expel their diplomats from this country.
And maybe, if we're lucky, they'' pack up Manchin and Sinema and take them away, too!

    1. I agree...expel their diplomats...but I still don't think Putin would give a flying fig.

  6. It's all bullshit. It's all scripted like reality tv. They make you think that the gold bar was just given to Bosco by chance, but then you know who really put it there....

The Ukraine war is terrible, and getting worst, and I see both sides and hurt war...but I agree, NATO has got to make a bolder move. I mean Putin is already threating two other countries.

  7. It makes me laugh because even a 20% tax hike won't mean diddly shit to these billionaires. To soft.

  8. The Dems unfortunately are stuck with Manchin. He usually votes with the Dems, but not always. The alternative would most assuredly be a Rethuglican in that seat.

And being in the service, I feel a bolder move needs to be done soon against Russia. This is not going away.

    1. What's the difference?? Do you care if there's blue or red associated with the Dem who's is killing half the Dem's agenda?? A GOP plant couldn't be more effective.

  9. Putin and Hitler are almost identical in their sociopathy: in the end, Hitler didn't give a shit about the people of Germany, blamed them for his losses and wanted to see them annihilated into smoking ruins by the Allies. Putin would rather see Ukraine, Russia and the West in the smoking ruins of a nuclear war than pull his troops out of Crimea and Ukraine at this point. Unfortunately, Putin and his cronies are like cockroaches: kill one and a hundred will come to his funeral! One can only hope that saner heads prevail in the Russian military and prevent/keep the nuclear codes from Putin the way American Generals did with Trump.

The UN has been a lame duck institution from its inception. I have more faith in NATO. I do wonder what exactly the state of the Russian nuclear arsenal is, given the lousy equipment, supply line management and poor military strategies demonstrated by the Russians in Ukraine... it reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Sideshow Bob stole and detonated a nuclear warhead and moths flew out of it instead.

Sanctions take time to work and they will be felt by the Russian oligarchs and Putin's inner circle -- they're the ones who'll take him out in the end. He's terrified of ending up like Kadhafi in Libya and already has people tasting his food.

I just wish the slaughter in Ukraine would end immediately. Those poor people don't deserve any of this!

    1. The slaughter is it. How long does it go on till NATO takes action? At this point nothing will be left and then...will he go after countries where most of the refugees fleeded too?

I still am very angered that trump goes free........but your right about the military worrying about him having codes. Unfortunately the Russian military appears to be on the same page for now with Putin. Let's hope your Simpson's comparison plays out. Lol!!!

  10. Uncle Joe is old school and he thinks anybody can 'work' with the Repugs. Nope, there's no working with them cause they have no platform, just stonewalling.
I hope the world sanctions Vlad and Russia all the way to hell. What he's doing in Ukraine is unforgivable.

    XOXO

    1. Some days I wonder if Joe thinks he's dealing with the "old" republican party? I think Tundra is right...Putin is like Hilter....and we know how many he took out, countries destroyed and horror stories he created. Like the Queen of Hearts said..."Off with his head!"

  11. I wish there was an easy answer to what's happening, but sadly there isn't. Putin has threatened nuclear war and no one is willing to play chicken with him because of that. He's a pig and I wish he would end up just like Gaddafi, killed in the dirt by his own people!

It all hurts my heart, sweetpea. xoxo

  12. The sanctions don't seem to hurt Putrid, but then he can just spend Russians' money on whatever he wants (more nukes, tanks etc., etc.) But Abramovitch has allegedly been begging friends for money as all his money outside Russia is tied up. What needs to happen is for countries to stop buying their oil and gas. And get rid of the UN which is no longer fit for purpose unless they get rid of the permanent members of the security council and get rid of the veto.

    1. I agree Helen. Unless the world stops buying the gas and oil...he could care less how many sanctions the country gets slapped with. I too agree the UN is a dated group.

  13. I totally agree that NATO needs to get off their asses and DO SOMETHING. Anything. And I agree with the rest of your takes here, too. I'm so sick of it ALL.

  14. The only thing that will bring back compromise is to start voting Republicans out of office, as long as they win they will be the 'do nothing' party of NO. Once they begin losing seats in the House and Senate their tune will change.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's a shit show. Joe thinks he can still broker deals with the unreasonable. Dems are too cowardly to publicly back people who can replace Manchin. You don't even hear them publicly back Val Demmings, who should win a Senate seat in FL if she had a little help.

I'm so angry that if I saw a Russian attacked in the street like Asians are now, I'd likely yell "Slava Ukraine!" and throw a few punches and kicks myself. Fuck those commie bastards.

    1. That is the sad part. So many could make good and caring politicians and get the work done, but don't have the means or money to run for office because of the money it takes. Which is quite sad in itself.

      Coincidence?

  16. I don't like Manchin either, never did. We love when that Paula Jean Swearingen ran, But it was West Virgina. Dems were lucky like won it at all. Of course Ill take Biden, but he too was far from my first choice. We need much new blood all over the government, hence why term limits need to be set.

I can barely watch the news anymore. But do.

  17. This is a hard comment to leave...NATO and the rest of the world need to be very careful right now. We know Putin and we can see what he is capable of. All it takes is a few nukes to fly and this planet would be in a pool of shit lasting for MANY decades. It's hard but slow and steady wins the race. Or president, NATO country's and other nations are giving what they can most generously. The people of Ukraine are tenacious and with everyone's help and diplomacy we can get through this with out destroying our planet and MANY MANY innocent people.

  19. As evil as the Russian atrocities are, NATO is afraid that crazy Putin wouldn't think twice about letting the nukes fly. That would not just end the war, but life as we know it, as well.

    ReplyDelete
  20. NATO is actually afraid of China. If they would promise to stand down while NATO took out Putin, they'd go in.
But, boy I'm telling you...the DNC needs to be giving more support to Demmings and all the other Dems challenging any fake Dem like Manchin and Sinema.

  21. Sinema and Machin are sabotaging the entire Democrat agenda each and every time, I'm embarrassed that the Hot Topic Bimbo is from my State and duped Arizona Voters into thinking she was progressive and a Democrat, she behaves like a ReTrumplican and so does Manchin, who is from one of the Poorest States so his constituents would benefit greatly from protecting the Poor and Middle Class while stopping the nonsense of giving the obscenely Rich all of the breaks and letting them get away with lower Taxation than the Average American Citizen pays. A Billionaire paying 20% more will still be a fucking Billionaire. As for NATO sitting on the sidelines while a Genocide is in progress, it reminds me too much of WWII and how delayed many Countries were, including our own, to stop a deranged Psychopath from exterminating innocent Civilians, including Children, the Sick, the Elderly. I don't know how or why so many of the Russian Military are doing such atrocities when they were ALLEGEDLY duped into thinking they were Liberating the Ukrainians from Nazis... when now they are the ones acting like Nazis and Ukraine was enjoying Peace, Prosperity and First World quality of Life before they came in and began destroying their Country and indiscriminately killing the entire Population. It is said that 1 in 4 Ukrainians are already Refugees, the neighboring Countries will not be able to absorb this mass exodus and support them indefinitely, so something has to be done and quickly.

  22. I share your frustration, dear. What's happening in the Ukraine is a travesty unfolding as the rest of the world sits on their hands. Putin needs to be put in his place. The Ukraine was an emerging democracy and look at it now... how we can stand by and do nothing? I am against war, as well... but - I think action is justified in this case.
