When Mary Tyler Moore Show was on , I was but a wee one, right out of the womb by a year or two in a onesie, but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed watching the re-runs on the vintage show channels, and Mary's comedy was quite funny and classic tv. My favorite scene of hers?............

Enjoyed the show too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love Chuckles the Clown.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching this show on Sunday nights back in the day. It was not only funny, but they had so many great actors that went on to have their own great shows in the 70s and 80s.
ReplyDeleteHands down my all time favorite MTM scene. Rest In Peace Mary
ReplyDeleteChuckles funeral is the funniest MTM episode. Certainly she was one of the all time greats of TV.
ReplyDeleteClassic! Simply classic humor. I could watch this several times over and still hysterically laugh out loud. Probably my favorite show and actress when I lived in the US. We'll miss you, Mary Tyler Moore.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was a wee one, too. A wee high-school and college student. Brilliant and enlightened comedy.
ReplyDeleteThe first episode when she's being interviewed by Lou... "Oh, you've got spunk! ... I HATE spunk!!" Her reaction was perfection!
ReplyDeleteAnd, the final episode as they all shuffle out of the newsroom in a group hug.
What a pretty woman she was. Have you seen the film 'Thoroughly Modern Millie', Mistress? If you haven't, I'm sure you'd enjoy it.
