I just love looking at all types of art. Most art give me some kind of feeling, mood or stirring. So, when I came upon the art of Jenni Pasanen, it totally fascinated me. I probably suspect the artist didn't intend to think of her work to go along with the feeling of the season, but for me it does. Such bizarre, and yet extremely beautiful works. Almost as if, at least for me, it's some kind of other worldly spirit coming into our world but from where? While I find the forms beautiful, at the same time they are both eerie and sort of frightening...and that gets my adrenaline running.  Jenni Pasanen is a digital artist from Finland. Art has been with her all her life. She gets her inspiration from the world around her and bases her art with what she sees and experiences. Her work tilted Mask Obscura are what draw me in. They are a collaboration with herself and her digital skills...a series of beautiful beings made of time and nature. The collection of 16 works is split into four smaller categories....Season, Element, Day and Time. I find them very stirring...but I'm not ready to just meet any of these beings. But can you imagine one of them materializing in your room at night??? You can check her works out here.

RED RIDING HOOD

 It seems today I start my 51st trip around the sun!!! Goodness gracious who'd thought. But age doesn't bother me as long as I look nowhere near my age, feel my age, or have pains...and so far, so good on all three fronts. I don't have anything to complain of...I enjoy my new job still, I still attract the boys, I'm able to go and come as I please, have no heath ills, and over all... enjoy life most days. Granted there are things I used to be able to do, but I won't mention that here!!!!! The body doesn't isn't as bendy as it once was. I often think of dear Mae West this day, "You only live life once, but if you do it right, once is enough." And but of course..."Men are my hobby. If I married, I'd have to give it up." For my birthday, I plans most every night to go to dinner, as friends are taking me out....and a few weeks ago when in New Hope, my friend Preston joined us. I wanted him to capture some pictures of me, that would capture the feeling of the season for me, since Halloween is a favorite time of the year, and I was supposed to be born on Halloween, and also, my love of nature. I knew of a nice location. Well, he came up with a wonderful idea and he sent me a few of the set yesterday, before one of the actual sizes arrive.

His idea and capture were excellent!!!!! I had a wonderful time. I loved that he caught exactly as I wished...nature, mysterious, haunting and the dark autumnal vibe. They were taken in daylight, but I'm sure he darkened them or whatever it is photographers do. I wouldn't mind a nice spring version now, and maybe all nude too. Perhaps one for each season? It was rather chilly that day that day... He titled them Red Riding-A Study. He may use them as a part of a showing.

Overall, I loved the results. That boy has a good eye. 

And not too shabby or haggard for 51!!!

I never thought I'd be 51.
