Welcome to My Bungalow

 Welcome to my humble bungalow!!!!!!

As I'm getting ready to depart with the Lad for New Haven for some fun , I thought I would share with you all what I have been busying myself with around here! The Casa du Borghese reminds me of Murphy Brown. Remember how she was NEVER done remodeling a place? Same thing. You find these little treasures and then you have to work them in right?  Well, lets have a look see to what's been going on, so grab a cock-a-tail from the houseboys and let's walk....... there now, are we all lit?

I have a obsession lately with sea shells. With trips to Asbury Park and Rehoboth lately, I have found some swell sea shells by the sea shore! Some are bought,  and some I found. The best time to find the really cool ones is after a storm. That there scallop shell on top I found in tact, and still sealed. This weekend you may recall the Capital Street Duo visited to deliver my big package from bondage finally. Insert your jokes here.         Anyho the package was this gem.......

Found while on last vacation for the price of $285!!!!! I was so excited and the whole kitchen was face lifted just for it, with a paint job and a new marble tile floor! Gone are the floating ledge shelves that acted as my bar, ( which my good friend and sister Mame, aka David Dust would often hit her head on!) and the cream colored floor and fern green walls. Now the new accents are this beautiful French influenced china cabinet to be my new digs as my bar!!! I still have some fine tunes and lots more hooch to add in there yet. The floor marble has hints of tan and grey to compliment the cabinet and the wall color of Nutshell added a warmer glow to the room.

My favorite nook in the place....... love how the corner turned out. The artwork on the bottom is the purchase from my co-worker,s  art show. It added a touch of whimsy and the red gives a pop of color. I love blogging, reading with a gin, and bird watching from this corner.

My apothecary jars have also been replaced with sea shells for summer.....

And a orchid bloom in a jar done by the Dame Courtney......

My other favorite place is , now clutch your pearls girls, the boudoir!!!! I have since brought in summer blooms for my vase and also added sea shells to the bell jar.....

My other find? The brass lamp from a shop called Stash, a vintage shop,  for the going price of $36! The original shade I'm trying to rework, so I have this temporary shade on currently. The lamp and old shade are also very huge on the dressing bureau so I may have to relocate the lamp.

And if I ever do another drag show and can't find my ear rings how swank will these be in a pinch?

of course one of my other favorite places to be......

But don't let the order of the bed fool you, it is the place I also act like a monkey......

The tee shirt is a gift from the Lad that says-  New Bedford Fairhaven Tackle- Where I supply Hooks, Line and Sinkers and a Good Sturdy Rod!
I love me my tee shirts !!!!

And yet more sea shells in the living room!!!

Gratuitous Buster shot just because......

I still have a few more things I working on. By time I'm done it will be ready for a fall change!!!! Now if you'll excuse me I must check on the Gardner here on the grounds....you know, to make sure he isn't forgetting to trim the corners! Maybe I'll invite him in for some cool lemonade!?!

Grande Dame

Of all the drag queen extraordinares, no star shines so bright as Haley Star's is beginning too. Taking Rhode Island – and now the Internet – by storm, Haley Star’s rise to the top has been meteoric. The owners of the Dark Lady saw Haley Star out on the town one night and said they “liked her style” and gave her the opportunity to fill in as a guest host for their hot body contest one Thursday evening. Everything else seemed to just snowball from that point on, 7 years later, she is still here. Haley got her start at a amateur drag competition happening one night and  was put up to the challenge by friend. He insisted she wouldn’t do it and made a little bet. One thing led to another and she showed up in this black and white checkered dress, and some cheap CoverGirl, a $5 party store wig, boobs made out of tube socks! Since then Haley is becoming a huge You Tube sensation  to convey her message of happiness. Dr. Seuss said it best she says… “Be who you are and say what you feel; because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” Those are my words to live by

Gay Market Shopping with the Mistress

People used to say it was a huge production for me just to go to the grocery store. Yes it is. I never step outside to run errands till I'm all cute and presentable, for you just never know who you may run into! For it could be my next husband! Most of the food stores around here at the four clock hour, is like happy hour at the bar, with some much flirting. My ex and the Lad say I'm very entertaining to food shop with, as I try to get a reaction from people sometimes. But being me and a gay guy it is even more entertaining to what goes through my mind.

If one could go and buy boys like above I would!!! The first thing I decide is which jeans to wear. I will admit to having a nice behind, why not show it!

* Upon getting to the store , will it be a cart or a basket? The basket is more butch and when it gets heavy it will pop the arm muscles, but the cart is far more entertaining for cart couture, plus it is easier to strut! WERK!

*Fruity Pebbles is usually a major score!

* The cookies aisle? Honeys, I want to stay in my 30 waist jeans.

*When I get to the snack aisle, will it be potato chips or  cheese twists, hummmm, which is easier to throw up? I'll worry about that later.

* I will admit to being a ice cream whore. I will pick up two gallons, and then think I'm a fat heifer with no self control! But it gets worked off.

* I love my fruit aisle, but when I handle the melons, am I the only gay who wonders how women handle these suckers?

*Sometimes when I see the bananas it reminds to to give the Lad a call.

* When you see the cucumbers does it remind you to call the hung South American trick? Or am I the only one?

* The meats aisle is always a issue. Which piece of meat do I go with? The big fat one, or the little one? Silly me, you know size matters. Thicker is always better!

* This is about the time you spot the hot jock walking around, so I will start my " giving him body pose."

*Eggs? Eggs got protein. Do I really need more protein in my daily diet!

* Then there the juice aisle- MIXERS!

* The cream and nuts aisle always get me. And when in the dog food aisle the biscuits with description, " moist and meaty" always make me chuckle.

And then there is the flower stand, where the manager there looks almost like the above. I will ask him which stems will hold up the longest!

*Before leaving the store, I pass the cute guy again, giving him one last look, before he sees me at happy hour.

And when I get home, imagine my surprise to see I have read the container wrong......
