With summer's end, we spent some time harvesting more flowers from the garden... even though the dahlias, salvia, roses and wildflowers continue blooming.
This morning's buds from the wildflower garden.
As is tradition here at the Casa du Borghese....Lana Del Ray....
My time will be coming to an end glamping over this coming weekend, as the work will be all done back at the pied de terre. I always meet the end of summer with melancholy. I enjoy all the seasons, but the summer is by far my favorite...hell, even Uptonking deemed me the Patron Saint of Summer....which I would say is most fitting. Boy I love that man. I always get a major case of the sads when summer ends...I do believe each year when it ends, another piece of me goes with it. I will miss all my friends I see in the summer at the campground for another year. It has been a most unusual summer as I didn't go on any big vacations abroad...but thank goodness for glamping... and the Poconos this summer. I couldn't imagine enduring a fall, and then a long winter hibernation without ever getting out in the summer. Goodness knows what the pandemic will bring for autumn and winter. It was good to get up here, and even though low key, still met some great new friends and nothing like nature to calm and sooth my savage side.
Glowing lights put up for RBG.
Matt, the gentleman who had me for drinks last week in the tear drop.
An art installation!!!
When first timer folk show up, it is a custom there to take off your underwear and add them to the underwear tree.
Divas of the camp, Aurora Bearlieas, Porcha, Heidi Ho, and Polla Frost. And you know it's a gay campground when....
Over the weekend we were happy and very surprised when Max Emerson and his hubby stopped in for a return visit to glamp!
Friend, Lucas...so long till next year.
Now as is tradition and custom here on this blog, is my summer ending anthem. Every year, yet again...Lana Del Rey's song, always seems to sum up my mood, as the Patron Saint of Summer hangs it up for another year....
As is tradition, my reign comes to an end as summer now comes to a official end. Summer is my favorite season of the four. I always feel more alive and healthy this time of year. Even thought my social season will continue ….I always feel like Persephone going back to the underworld to live for the next 6 months. No more hot, sunny days, pool filled, with half naked men's! It is also tough because when in Costa Rica it was the last time I will see Daddy Warbucks for some time, as he is vacating the US thanks to our current asshole in chief. But nice to know I'll have a place to stay in Europe. But it was a swell summer all the same, at my ever faithful Raven Resort and the boys of summer...….

And at last week's end of summer Pool Show, Summer Clearance, Miss Carriage and myself did the First Wives Club's, You Don't Own Me. We were Diane Keaton, Bette Milder and Goldie Hawn respectively. It was a huge hit, as I wasn't sure I could pull Goldie off.
As is tradition...my end of summer song here at the Casa du Borghese. Take it away if you must Lana...…
Well, it looks as if another summer has come and gone.
As some of you may be well aware, summer is the Mistress's favorite season. Less layers of clothes, the warmth of the sun, balmy hot nights, being out of doors, glamping, open windows at night, the smell of the sea, and those fun filled pool days at the Raven. This summer for me was one of the best ever...hell, I had off all summer and I got to go to Argentina.....finally. While autumn is a beautiful season at least here on the East Coast with the soon to be explosion of color, I can't help but get a bit sad to see summer go....I always do, especially when the darkness comes earlier and earlier. Here are some pictures from summer from Rehoboth Beach, Fire Island, Provincetown and the Raven I never really got to post as we hail out my Summertime Sadness.
As is tradition.....I think Lana Del Rey sums up my thoughts the best, in our closing out of summer song.....
