SEASIDE ART

All the years I've been going up to Ptown, this was the first time I can recall taking time to take in some art walks. Ptown has always attracted and nurtured all forms of art and artist. The light and natural, coastal beauty, on the tip of Cape Cod has inspired artist for over a century. The place is a contrast: a rugged, rural site with a vibrant town center, it simultaneously provides artist with opportunities for both solitude and socializing, with its free and open atmosphere. I loved much of the art I saw in the art associations and galleries. I feel the town's bohemian legacy continue today even, especially through its extremely vibrant queer community and from what I hear has a generous artist residency program.

The sights one sees.

Artist Liz Carney, doing some night painting.
I fell in love with this collection. The colors spoke to me more than anything.

Of course I loved these wigs also made by a local artist. Made from Paper mache and rhinestones
This reminded me of someone...but who???
Of course...more art. Dina Martina is always artsy.
More art! In a glass!

And who doesn't love tee shirt art? This was seen at the Boatslip one night. And done right, I agree. And an art form in itself.

PROVINCETOWN

Well, looks like the Mistress has finally had enough fun in the sun, and is now back to the Casa du Borghese. Are you happy to see me??? What a whirlwind end of summer. If one knows me, I very seldom turn down any beach time. The beach is by far, my favorite locale. As much of a pain in the ass and time as getting to Provincetown and Fire Island, I just adore these two places. It is pretty much 90% gay populated, so it is very nice to be with like minded people, and the LGBTQ community can just be, and act and dress how we want with no worries and just be us. Which is very cool and refreshing. Provincetown is  a cool spigot of land and reminds me if one would take Rehoboth Beach and New Hope and marry the two, you'd get P-town. A lovely beach town, but has a vintage and campy feel to it, and who can pass up on the award winning fudge shops!!! And my hostess with the mostess, Pearl Gates had a lovely schedule planned out... even at the dick dock. Some of my favorite memories from the trip.

The whale watch is by far one of my favorite things to do when in town. It's nice to see another variety of Moby Dick. They were very active this year too.

I made quite a few deposits here.
I remember Cali Boi and Sixpense wanted some basket pictures, and there was plenty of those at tea dances.
The guy in the middle here, Jacob is actually a Instagram follower who I met, and is a doctor. I had quite a few things for him to check out for me. The guy on the right is an interior designer, David Bromstead who to my knowledge, used to have a show on Bravo. I don't remember him having so many tats, I used to adore him. On a side note, All three could have choked a horse with what was in those hotdog smugglers.
The Lad and one of the clan, Marcus, from the house, acting out their Coppertone Baby fantasies. sigh..... I told you all he is a handful.
Two take out bears for Anne Marie! I hope the dear is not dieting yet?
And of course I saw some of my girls!!!

The hilarity of Miss Rchfield 1981!
Here's is Preston on the left with one of my favorites, Ben de la Creme
Cleo Phatra

If drag is your thing, P-town is the spot for you then. A boat load of queens have summer residencies there and this year we caught the talented and funny Thirsty Burlington, and she DID NOT disappoint.
I have long adored the antics of Dina Martina. Who else can pull off those lips, and a flip with a lovely afternoon kaftan? What an eye popping day look.
And the always lovely Jinkx Moonsoon! That bitch can sing!
Also in town, a treat I hadn't seen in some time was Dixie Longate, with a very convincing Wonder Woman.
Of course, just taking in the beauty of the town is always relaxing.
Merdrags do exist!!!!!!
Our  B and B had a lovely room for us, even though it was a bit tight with three of us in the bed, and a very relaxing pool, and delicious breakfast. What a treat to hear the sea at night.
This was me lounging poolside, a day before we left for the next leg of the trip.
A huge thanks to my hostess Pearly Gates for taking the lead and showing us a good time, and to the Boatslip for all those yummy drinks!!!!  If I didn't know better, I think those bartenders were trying to take advantage of moi. And if anyone in P-town sees Ms Moorecock, tell her I'll send a envelope with money to get her home. Seems I misplaced her in a shop up there somewhere, probably distracted by free samples of cheese or fudge. But where ever she is I'm sure she is sitting somewhere. So there's that.

IT'S HAPPY HOUR!!!!

You'll be happy to know the Mistress survived being back to work for a whole full week!!!! This job thing is really beginning to get in the way of my social scene peeps. I am caught up, so hopefully next week programing should be back to normal!!! But in the meantime bitches.....it's Friday and HAPPY HOUR!!!!!!
And let's get started with a drink or 8 and listen to the smooth and beautiful Camila Cabello with Havana!!! I think my next performance might be to this song, but dressed as Carmen Miranda!!! Or for now, I'd settle for a suave man to give me a nice slow and dirty tango to this!
I'll be away again tomorrow, but Miss Moorecock assures me she will open the Candy Shop for business!!!

Now drink up bitches!

TIME FROM PROVINCETOWN

Rounding out my vacation,,,which was hard enough to leave the beauty and relaxation of Costa Rica, I ditched Daddy Warbucks, and then met up with the clan for  a couple days in lovely Provincetown!! It is no coincidence that for more than 50 years, the gay and lesbian community returns every summer to P-town. The recent development/tourism development of Provincetown owes much to this community here where one can find a place to feel at home The town started to promote itself as a tourist destination to aid the economy after the storm of 1898, which adversely affected the fishing community. Artists, with their bohemian style, were some of the first visitors of Provincetown. Residents and visitors alike are attracted by the incredible natural beauty and the particular light or “aura”. Little by little this has become an eclectic population who are more and more numerous to visit this community. Not to mention the tee shirts shops and their awards winning fudge shops. And if your looking to see drag queens, then this is certainly your town to visit, as many have a whole summer residency there. Here are a few postcards....
Varla Jean Merman...trying to hide.
Queens...at tea dance
Pearly Gates inhaling cotton candy.

Marty Cummings and husband with the funny Dina Martina.

A HUGE surprise was seeing Jesse Tyler and Jinkx Monsoon at high tea at the Boatslip!!!!
Miss Richfield 1981 hawking watermelon.

Men...
men.... and more men!
The above specimen is Preston's side piece Sam. He was enough to make me crack a few laws.

Clan member Preston in the shower...your welcome!!! I've long marveled at his ass.

Someone liked big cock!
We also this year took in another whale watch.
And dear ole Eros didn't tell us he had a shop there!!!!!

Remember Eros, come Christmas, anything in black or tan with measuments of 9-10" will be just lovely. If I have issues I can always use it as a new rolling pin.

And with that, that was my grand finale to send summer 2018, into the memory banks.
