Where in the world did the time go today? Not that I'm complaining that Monday flew by. As you can see from the previous post my Monday morning with horrific. But what Mondays aren't? I'm gearing up tomorrow for St Patrick's Day. Am I 100% Irish? By no means no. I am a quarter Irish though. My paternal grandmother, her parents were from Ireland. I'm what they call a European mutt. My maternal grandparents were actually born in Czechoslovakia, while my paternal grandmother's family was from Ireland, and my paternal grandfather's family was from Holland. So I guess that makes me Czech... Dutch ...and Irish. I think there may be a little bit of Swiss in there somewhere too . So just enough Irish to enjoy St Patty's Day tomorrow. And yes I do have a corned beef dinner in the plans! With some mashed potatoes and cabbage.

Cupcakes! Is that what’s mean by drinking someone under the table?
ReplyDeleteI drank under the table once.
DeleteONCE?
DeleteI grew up with an Irish Setter, lots and lots of brushing for that long hair.
ReplyDeleteHeavens, that boy has a big shillelagh!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your colcannon and Guinness, dear... Jx
Beats any waking stick I've ever used.
DeleteI want to say something besides 'that man's dick is fantastic' but I can't.
ReplyDeleteReally.
XOXO
It's so succulent!!!!!
DeleteClever repositioning of the Tex Avery wolf.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your St Pat's Day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day, sweetpea! xoxo
ReplyDeleteIs all things Irish that large in your second photo? My My, I will have to check out the Irish Channel in the Big Easy LOL
ReplyDeleteHuh well....Irish and Dutch men are known for their "assets'. And then throw in some Czech.......
DeleteNow this explains why your assets are like they are. I got all the wrong nationalities.
DeleteWe might be cousins?!! Love the Red/Irish Setter!
ReplyDeleteSx
Could you imagine that Ms.Scarlet?
DeleteI am going to make Beef and Guinness pie - the first time I had it was in Dublin six-years ago. Was your grandmother from the Republic of Ireland, or occupied Northern Ireland? If she was from the South, you should qualify for Irish Citizenship. If she was from the north, England offers a five-year long stay visa, renewable for another five, then eligible for citizenship.
ReplyDeleteI'm filing ALL this comment away for future use!!!! I think her family was from outside of Dublin.
DeleteThat is EU territory
DeleteGreen is my favorite color, so I enjoyed this Mood Board!!! Such GLORIOUS pictures! Shoot, I could even lean on the one guy for support with his three legs!!!
ReplyDeleteThat town just below the shamrocks is where I want to live!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't move over there in a heartbeat. The towns are so much more quaint.
DeleteHappy St. Paddy's Day!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yup...Babs looked and sounded exhausted. At 84 (next month) I suppose she's entitled.....
That bridge looks very much like a bridge in a nearby village where a battle, between the Roundheads and Cavaliers, was fought in the mid 17th century. My snowdrops and crocus have all gone over, but my Snowflakes and Narcissi are all out, along with violets, rosemary, primulas, forsythia, Magnolia stellata and Kerria.
ReplyDeleteBoy we're way off for many of those things blooming here yet. The next thing to go will be the bulbs which are just now coming up through the ground.
