Christmas in the Red Light District

Just love bubble lights! This is a scene from the side table in the boudoir with a bell jar filled with glass balls. The candle bubble holder was a gift from the Dame Courtney, a avid collector of them and anything Christmas.

It appears Christmas is right around the corner. Is everybody ready and have you decked your halls yet? The Mistress decked her halls two weeks ago and welcomed back the Red Light District. No, she isn't in Amsterdam, nor did the Casa turn into a brothel, contrary to what you have heard! Although I'm sure the neighbors are wondering about the bright red glow of light pouring from the windows and the many men coming and going. No the Mistress just loves her red lights! Usually I do red and white, but went back to all red again. But this year instead of a 7ft Alpine tree, I thought out of the box, and into the woods, to do a branch tree!!!!! Definitely more avant- garde then the usual tree, but I love it! I used a huge, waist high, 107lb urn to house the branches collected from the woods. It was a feat to get them in the door, and did it ever get looks from passer bys. But I must say after hours of getting it just right, I really love it, plus my collection of 20 or so clip birds and nest look great in the tree.........

The side board saw many objects packed away for the holidays to make room for this.....

Now adorned with a amber glass urn with tassel, an amethyst glass hurricane surrounding a Marrakesh wrought iron candle holder, a few clocks and a vase of peacock feathers. Joined by what else.....balls and more balls! On the shelf below is a celadon compote filled with balls. Across the room is the cock-a-tail table, with my three favorite possessions at the Casa, an amber vase, my antique wrought iron candelabra and my Christmas pyramid which was a gift from the Aunt and Uncle. I could watch it spin for hours when having my gin......

A touch of pine and glitz to my shelf above the wine glasses. Love how the pine looks against the hen basket salt and pepper holders.

This years apothecary jars...turned festive for the holidays, filled with dried cranberries, pine cones, and what else.......glass balls........

Here's two cardinals resting in amongst the many, many, many, many wines corks popped around here......

Even the boudoir isn't safe from the clutches. I always must have my little tree in the boudoir...it creates a nice ambiance at night........

So there you have it, Christmas at in the Red Light District and at no charge! But after the holidays, it may be a different story. Now, remember, if you would like to share your tree or decor, don't forget next week I'm doing a post of your finery, we want to see your shiny orbs! Just email me a picture, details on my side bar. Tootles!

    1. Norma, I save some bills, by rubbing my legs together to create friction, which produces the extra electricity at no charge.
