Well..... the Mistress has arrived to the furniture capital of the world, or so they say it's called, to the Piedmont Triad region to Highpoint, North Carolina. No your not going nuts!! I just found out yesterday, so it was very impromptu. Don't these people know I need more time to coordinate smart career ensembles? I was invited by the district visual team to help select props, wall treatments and furnishings for our existing stores, but mostly for our specific stores we work in. So I'll be out the rest of the week. Ealier today while waiting to leave, I loved this hanging treatment at the airport terminal. How did I never notice this before? Philadelphia Airport has both a permanent collection as well as a rotating art exhibit. Among the mainstays is "Impulse" by Ralph Helmick and Stuart Schechter which consists of several thousand small birds that together transform into different shapes, but all together form this one large bird!
And the Stanley clock works sculpture.
The waiting game began........
And just a few of these......
North Carolina.
