THE MISTRESS IS FOUR FACED

I have to tell to you children,  my life spins out of control socially when spring arrives....and the boys and I start planning all our vacations at fun spots, one big vacation, I'm still missing Costa Rica about right now, and all the pool days. Then it goes right into the fall and winter holidays and day trips and such. But Halloween is always chalk full of going ons. This year were three soirees and one show. With four different themes. all the make up and pulling and tugging can really take a toll. My skin will need a nice good rest!!!! New Years is finally the big finale, and then the Mistress can go into a introverted hibernation for a couple months. To be fair, I'm looking forward to that. This Halloween brought for looks for four different parties.

There was the Raven's Gala where I did the Red Widow

While at the Raven, I loved these three. The Freddie Mercury was downright hot, then there was David Bowie shooting pool and my friend Darrel was very creative....a voting machine!!!

Then  a party at Aldie Mansion the next night, where I was sort of a grown up Judy Jettison.

Unfortunately I became the 453rd victim of Michael Myers.

The third affair was a private party of friends of mine...The Twisted Underwear Ball!

Then there was the Out of This World Show. 10 points goes to the first person who know what or what movie this is from. The Lad taped a tidbit.

This bitch is exhausted.

MONDAY IS HERE......

Even these three days weekends fly by!!! It was a rather busy one with some Halloween galas to go to, and last night, well...O'dear...shame on me! I was such a bad neighbor last night!!!"Please don't hate me kids...please pretty pleasee…There was an extra large turn out at my front door....perhaps there's a baby boom in my complex?! missed most of my trick or treaters, as I was getting home from a final soiree, and I'm sure that got some looks for sure!!!!! More on that later today. But,,,just like to inform all of you that I survived another birthday weekend and mischief night here & still recovering from the festivity!  But I will make it up to the kids when our official trick or treat night is Wednesday night for the fair hamlet. Double candy all around!!!!

THE AUTUMNAL ABODE

No room service,No concierge,No house keeping service... well except for that of the houseboys... BUT yet this is still my favorite place to be... my pied de terre… to be precise, my favorite cozy-corner sofa by the window. It is always my favorite place in my apartment and where I read my blogs and usually post from. It generally takes me some time to adjust to summer ending, but once I do embrace autumn...I'm ready for it. And since fall has arrived I have been enjoying the fall scent candles and the spices for mulled cider scenting the home when preparing. Nothing like it. And let it not be said I don't like my Halloween décor. My favorite of holidays.

Not that Im  bat shit crazy, but I enjoy the fun side of Halloween, but also I too embrace the true meaning of Samhain.If you’re new to the pagan tradition, I think it's a great time to remember loved ones of the past.... and like an altar in place, you can easily set up a table or console table and leave it in place. Decorate the altar with symbols of late fall, such as:  skeletons, grave rubbings, harvest food such as pumpkins, squash, root vegetables, nuts and berries, dried leaves and acorns , or a cornucopia filled with an abundance of fruit.A time to embrace the dead.

More candle is the boudoir. In total I light around 20 candles at night. Looks like a séance.

With exception to two Halloween parties, with  one more yet, it was a good weekend to be home and with rain, wind, and cold, it was time for a great Pot Roast dinner...with some red wine.

Friends say aren't you crazy for tempting with the dead and such, and celebrating  them? Hell no, I even walk the neighboring cemetery Halloween night usually. Not to worry, my minions have guard over me.
