Happy Birthday to Lady Bunny!

I just had to bring my holiday to a quick halt to wish my favorite drag queen and the most entertaining diva ever a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! If you have been reading awhile you know a just love the Lady Bunny. Granted, she can be downright vulgar and extremely dirty, and on her blog she will have a "click here" to take you to a way gross website, but I can't help it, she is just downright funny as hell and how can you not love the style. I have met Lady Bunny several times and while I'm sure she doesn't remember me from time to time (we both had way to many cock-a-tails), she has always been gracious and sweet, I just know the conversation had to be way out there. But I think that's why I like her so much. We both love the big hair, like to drink some good stiffeners, love the men, and both have loud mouths!



She began her career alongside Larry Tee and Ru Paul as a fixture on the Atlanta, Georgia gay scene where they arrived in New York City at the Pyramid Club in the early eighties, and Lady Bunny has reigned supreme as the grand dame of New York ever since. Since then, she has starred in many movies and various tv spots. She can currently be seen in Ru Paul's Drag U on Logo as one of the drag faculty, where she is the only saving grace on this horrid concept of a disappointment, and the handsome and sexy, Jack Mackenroth's project, The Queens of Drag NYC which has finally found a home on the Here!Network and gay.com starting September 8th.



So the Mistress would like to wish this crazy bitch a drunken Happy Birthday from the bottom of my gin bottle!!!! I hope your spending it with lots of hot papi's girl. And you can start it off with this toast-Here's to being single, seeing double, and sleeping triple!!!! And since I'm no where near New York City to drink with this ho, you can buy her a drink at the QUO for her birthday celebration tonight. I'll most likely be drinking my gin, making a toast to her whatever condition I'll be in. Now back to my regular vacation programming, I have a toga to make and a change in locale to ready for! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUN-BUN!!!

I Lovvvvvvve Vacations!

Well, it's time again for vacation to start! Over the weekend I already visited my dear old family and I even got to throw back some cock-a-tails with my good friend and sister Mame, aka David Dust, our friend J, and Miss Vera Charles at our favorite old stomping ground the Strawberry Cafe. And contrary to popular belief and rumors, the Mistress didn't mix her cock-a-tails up and later seen wearing a lampshade on her head!


Although that could be a sharp look. Hmmmmmmm. Well, everything is set for excursion and the Mistress and company are all set for vacation.



There was the city, and there will be some sand time, some mountain time and a toga party at a gay campground at the Woods Campground. And after some nipping, I just hope I remember not to get to close to the bon fire. This bitch could go up like the Towering Inferno! See ya some time later in the month! Tootles!

A Big Package from California

This is a nice package, but that's not what arrived last week, and it also wasn't Cali-Boi or Jason Thomas, who I wouldn't put pass them to squeeze themselves into a box to show their goods!!! No, this package arrived last week to the abode.



Turns out it was a lovely package from our friend and fellow blogger gal-pal Kailyn, who we spent a nice time with last summer in San Fran. One of the days she toured us around the Napa Valley ,and in particular the vineyards of Viansa. So what a nice surprise to come home and open this package and find all this deliciousness in one box!



Kailyn knows we love some cock-a-tails and juice of the vine here. Included were a bottle of Athena, a red wine, a lovely Chardonnay, my favorite Tolosa, a Pinot Gris, and a bottle of Piccolo Sangiovese. In addition to the wine were a bottle of olive oil vinaigrette,a jar of Green Olive Tapenade,a jar of Capponita and a bag of crustini. What's so nice about all these iems is their all made right there at Viansa. And last week I wasn't feeling all that well, I had one of those summer sore throats and wasn't feeling good,(nothing that a shot of gin wouldn't repair though) so when I came home to this- it made my day!!! Over the weekend when visiting my family I went to market and got some cheeses to accompany the wines!Won't these be so nice to enjoy on this weeks vacation?
