Au natural has to do with all natural pine arrangements! Get your mind out of the gutter!!! With many working from home right now, or not working period, many of us have thrown ourselves into our homes and become homebodies. And we all have different environments in which we live, so because of that, or we aren't sure of our decorating talents, when it comes to Christmas we all have different ideas. Some of us also have space issues with being in apartments or such. Some don't do trees. This post was inspired by Sixpense, who said he doesn't do a tree, but likes the idea of greens. So last night I ventured into the woods to collect some pines and other treasure. Several pine arrangements can add a lot to a home for a festive touch if you pass on a tree. And those little fairy light are perfect to place inside the arrangement if you wish since they are very light weight. Last night I collected a few branches of each. I really need to not take pictures at night....ugh.
Douglas fir
White pine
Norway spruce
Frasier fir
Holly
Arrow wood bush berries.
I really like whole vases of these in the winter after the holidays. Nice and simple.
Once the pines are collected, I snip as much off the branches that will be under the water line so the water doesn't get mucky. I generally have to fill the vase every other day, as pine DRINKS! I then just stick the various pines in the vase with no rhyme or reason...I like an organic feel to it. This was the finished arrangement...
I also added a little cardinal for shit and giggles. I also had enough for two smaller vases.
But for those of you who are incorrigible, and wanted some au natural.....
Happy Hump Day...and happy decorating!
