A WEDDING MESSAGE TO THE BOYS

If my mind is correct and today is the 17th I 'd like to wish Bob and his longtime partner, Carlos over at I Should Be Laughing, a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on their official marriage today!!!! Bob and Carlos decided to stop living in sin and are getting married today!!!! And hopefully soon in his own state. While I have never met them, I have read Bob's blog for a while now, and he writes in such a way, I feel I know him/them. I hope your day boys is as special and dreamy as you had hoped it would be!!!!!!

On this special day of yours
The day, you two get hitched
You may not feel too much has changed after all those years being together already.
But your lives are more enriched.

I wish for you a lifetime
of love and lots of laughter.
Your own very special fairy tale
Your own happy ever after.

To a very special couple
who make such a perfect pair.
The Casa sends a wish for happiness.

Bob and Carlos are out west currently and he has been reposting some swell post from  the past about them. If you'd like to give well wishes head on over to I Should Be Laughing, or leave a comment here, I know they would be tickled!!! Or was that at the bachelor party?

Happy Marriage and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be over momentary to sing a ditty in my best Ethel Merman voice......

Love Boat Follies

Now don't even ask me how I came across the clip. Remember the show Love Boat? If you watched it you will probably remember seeing this then. It was one of my favorite episodes as I love me some MGM Girls. This show had the beauty and talent of the incredible Della Reese, Ethel Merman,Ann Miller, and Carol Channing.

All these gorgeous ladies were playing the parts of the various characters mothers or in-laws. They all had such good chemistry together with all their grande dame attitudes and banter, and I believe it was Ethel Merman's last filmed performance. And I just LOVE ANN MILLER. Always have. She was such a beautiful woman and that hair in the clip... it sure looks like it could with stand some very high winds!

That Boisterous Woman

I know, call me a queen but I love Ethel Merman. I love her movies, I loved her on the Love Boat, and yes, alas, I have one of her cds. But a part of why I loved her so much is that she reminded me of my Grandmother. They looked the same, sounded the same, and had a larger than life personality. So in a way, I have always felt connected to her like my grandmother. And one of my favorite songs by Ethel Merman,is You're the Top.
