Some Wine and Whiskey

Now I know there are many readers here that love to eat and enjoy food, and I get the occasional email" Mistress, where should I go to dine when I'm in Philly?" Being the ever gossipy, I mean, informative tour guide I like to share these places that tickle me so. And last night I experienced a neatly tucked away gem. My good friend Claire Voyant had been visiting since last week and last night was her last night here, so we and other of her chic friends went to dinner. I have known dear Claire Voyant longer than I believe any of the Mistress's friends, going back twenty years from our interior design days, and many, many, many husbands ago. But that's another story. Anywho we went to dine at The Cooperage in the Society Hill neighborhood on Philadelphia. The Mistress like to get their early to case the joint.(code for she likes to get her ass to the bar for some good stiffeners.) Whilest waiting for said company to arrival, the bartender couldn't have been more informative on the wines and whiskeys I was sampling and he even offered boiled peanuts to go with my beverages. I was thrilled by the experience. I just hope the cute bartender got my napkin with the lipstick marks on it with my number and measurements! Cooperage: A Wine & Whiskey Bar combines southern bistro fare with an eclectic list of wine and whiskey from around the world. The Cooperage palette mixes industrial, contemporary and rustic elements with wooden features adding color and warmth throughout.

Painted brick and exposed spiral ducts highlight the raw, industrial space while barn light pendants provide general light over whitewashed wood floors. A large distressed bead board and stone topped horseshoe bar welcomes all who enter, surrounded by high top marble tables perfect for relaxing with friends. Beneath a series of vintage chandeliers sit several oak tables and a long leather banquette providing an inclusive yet intimate dining area. The connected Cooperage Café showcases farm fresh food, pastries and specialty coffee displayed in reclaimed barn wood and recycled wine and fruit crates. Whether you’re here to dine or craving a grab-and-go from the café, you’ll love Cooperage for thier fresh ingredients, friendly service and comforting, stylish atmosphere. Some of our entrees-

And I must say it was a wonderful night. And it was so nice to see you Claire! We must do this again-soon! Tootles!

Luxurious Dreaming

Ahhhhhhhhhh it's FRIDAY!!! Yea! Feel sorry for me as I survived my three day week. I'm soooooo bushed. And I've been sleeping well too. While on vacation the Mistress got some new, beautiful soft bedding and I changed everything out the other night. I've been in love ever since!!! A soft place for dreaming............

I'm am all queen when it comes to bedding. I love to have soft sheets, a blend of Egyptian cotton and silk in the comforter and tons of pillows. They are one of my two luxuries. And I love to sleep, it's one of my favorite parts of the day, and I like to feel all the luxury whiling I'm do so, or others things ;)! And everything has to coordinate. Things I have to think about you know. So I know I'll be enjoying the z's this weekend! Plus alot of time at the Raven Resort to lay poolside and have a cock-a-tail. In addition, my very good friend, Claire Voyant is up from the south, from Atlanta, to visit and check in on the Mistress's goings on! I just up she doesn't go into shock from all the cock-a-tails! So y'all have yourself a wonderful, sexy weekend! Tootles.
