Quarantine Greetings from Petticoat Junction!!!!
As most of my out of town friends call this fair hamlet. While it is a quaint area, I neither wear petticoats, or do my laundry down by the creek on a rock with a tub. Although, I do have trains tracks on the other side of the woods. I took some time away off line, since it was so gorgeous out this weekend. It was a open all the windows, let the drapes blown in the wind, sit outside, kind of weekend. All open air! It does the mind and soul good to be outdoors I think. In fairness... I did see some online drag shows. I had my neighbor Brice in for a social distancing dinner of my stuffed peppers I made along with homemade bread...even sent him home with a loaf. We hooted and hollored over watching Lady Bunny and Bianca go head to head. Good times! I also got some walking in. Why sit in, when were in doors all the time? Felt good too, also took a nice long walk about around ma' hood when I went to get fresh eggs......
Another barn turned into a house. This is a huge thing here.
The church and cemetery next to the Casa.
Another recently renovated home. The original houses dates to 1898.
A neighbor's gazebo.
Weekly take out from the Carversville Inn.
The old Lumbermill sits near the Chicken Coop Lady's property. I have always loved this place.
There will be a bar-b-q at Twelve Oaks tonight!!!!
Today, while walking the property here, Vixen made an appearance....and she gave me a good first glimpse of one of the new pups. I think she might have three, as I heard other ruslting in the foliage behind her... but not sure.
That was worth the whole walk alone today. She seemed very trusting. I don't know from year to year if she remembers me or not..but to get that close surprised me, even though this is a zoom in.
It was a good weekend. And needed.
