I AM CAIT

So , have any of you been watching I Am Cait? At first, I wasn't sure I wanted to pick up another program to watch, but having two friends who went through a transition, and being in New Hope, I thought, yes I will watch.

And every show I have to admit, I have not made it through without some tissues. Cait and her new circle of friends are a bunch of swell gals, but hearing what they have been through to get where they are is just terrible.  Unfathomable for Caitlyn. She’s only been out for a few months and has never faced employment discrimination, financial scares or violence against her. It’s clearly an eye-opener. But the connections and good times they are sharing is very touching.  Just yesterday I was poolside at the Raven for relaxation. In later walked a beautiful tall glass of water. Could have been Cait, except a little more feminine. And tall.  Later at the cabana bar whilst getting a drink, we struck up a conversation and her name was Camille. While talking,  a group of young gaylings from out of town were there, and  their click were making cracks.  After some time I finally said "If you have a problem with trans people you best excuse yourselves from New Hope, because we have a very open and welcome rule here." Well they huffed off. And later one did come up and apologize for his rudeness. Just blew my mind that even in the community these citizens have to face uphill battles. Camille went on to tell me about her transition from male to female, and the problems she has faced from family, friends and her job. Luckily, she has new friends, and two family members have called her since I Am Cait premiered. It has opened their eyes. So a show can have some good effect once in a while. Even though Camille's life is going well now, inside I was crying for what she went though similar to what the girls on the show did. Needless to say, I never did make it back to sun my body, and we even took dinner in the dinning room and vowed to keep in touch, and hang out. After all were all one people and everybody needs friends. Stop being afraid of what you don't understand I say. I think Cait and this show is going to help many.

But can we please, PLEASE keep the Kardashian's off this show, except for Cait's biological children. Is that to much to ask?
