Happy Friday!
For today, I'm bring you a bit of my own outright selfishness. With the band Big Fat Meanies. I have been going to see them over the last 8 years in local spots and love this band. I'll be seeing them this Saturday night again. Course I may be a bit partial, since Tristan, who does the percussion on drums, is a good friend of mine, but the whole band is swell, and filled with talent. Voted "Best Rock Band in Central PA , Big Fat Meanies offers a high octane dose of horn driven progressive rock with each performance. They hail from Lancaster and their shows always wield an on-stage energy that can only be matched by their catalog of songwriting. Despite the misnomer, Big Fat Meanies is comprised of a group of eight very kindhearted, community driven musicians. The group's appreciation for music extends into charity and advocacy work. The band prides itself on its close ties with the PA-based organization Music for Everyone, a non-profit, committed to bridging the funding in music education in the Central PA region.
Enjoy! I could watch Rick get into playing the bass clarinet all day.
